I recently took delivery of a Mach-E (MY 2022.25) and while watching some Youtube videos on the infotainment system realised some vehicles have an option in settings for Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control. The UK spec sheet posted here indicates it's available across all models but my mach-e settings doesn't have this option. Can anyone else confirm if it is present in theirs?

They changed it.

It is now adaptive cruise control with speed limit recognition as a selectable option.

With the speed limit recognition selected it is exactly what Intelligent Cruise Control was.

The good thing to know is that you are up to date with power up updates. This feature was installed on 2.3.0. I have it on my 2020 build job 1 car. Many others on here haven't.

So a couple of first day unexpected observations on build and software of the 2022 models….

Software:
The car comes with a SYNC version number of 21297 which is a slightly newer factory build of the UK/EU version of Power-Up 2.3.

Interesting points to note:

- The apps page includes Blocks & Tiles games that were missing from the previous OTA rollout of 2.3 on Job 1 cars.

- The heating controls icon has changed

- There‘s a new AC switch under the AUTO fan selector

- A working Frunk release button on the Access screen

Build Quality:
When the 2021’s first rolled many of us compared window / roof / boot lid gaps, and they were all pretty consistent. Comparing the 2021 pics to the 2022 build highlights quite an improvement in the alignments.

Pics for comparison (Red = 2021, Orange = 2022)

Hi @Wonky_Donkey

Sounds like some useful tweaks coming through - I look forward to having the A/C switch on the main screen ?

Really glad it's arrived, and enjoy your new car ?

Cheers,
David

PS: Also liked your new home - I knew you were moving, but ..................... ?

Hello from not so sunny Yorkshire!
Collected the yet to be named MME yesterday.
After wheel spinning out of the dealership smiling like a loon Im going to get to grips with it today.
I’m loving it other than trying to creep it up to the house wall, - first EV and short drive with an access lane running by ?

I recently noticed a stone chip in my wife's windscreen so I booked a repair with Autoglass. We had a bit of a wait for the appointment and in the mean time it went from a chip to a cracked and needed a new screen. She has a Fiesta. Just been and washed my MME, windscreen is 4 weeks old having been replaced under recall, and have noticed a chip. Driving to LGW on Tuesday. Booked a repair for my return. It'll be interesting to see what happens if that turns into a crack as well going there and back. ?

Can you elaborate on how the new ac button changes the cooling / heating system please?

I don't think he means it "changes" the cooling/heating system. He just means that instead of going into the settings menu to switch on/off the A/C you can now do it from the main screen.

One for Wonkey here. I know it's not the weather for heated seats :) but can you test the seats for us. Is it still the silly slider for changing the temperature or is it now more intuitive i.e. just keep touching the icon rather than a slider?

Hi everyone , I have been stuck on 1.71 power up update for about the last 6 weeks without any sync version number .

Has anyone had this issue successfully resolved by the dealer as i have seen some horror stories on forums about the updates not working and making the car unusable until they get a new module which could take some time to obtain .

What i dont what to do is put my car in and then not get it back for some time if this happens.

Finally , does anyone know if and when the alleged OTA fix for this has been produced by Ford yet . I keep on hearing soon or next month but it doesn’t seem to happen .

The update issue is a shame and annoying as i absolutely love the car despite this what really is a minor issue.
