I must admit I keep looking at the GV60 and thinking, is this going to be my next car.
Genesis seem hell bent on customer service.
Not sure how soon next would be though.
Ha, coincidence. I too was looking at that car. But I am not sure if Genesis UK have great customer service. Their phone or email doesn’t seem to get answered.

Right, just had a call from my dealer re my n/s rear light cluster.
Basically, it's f....d. Need a new fitting. Only problem, there aren't any stocks and no indication of when there will be. So guys, keep your fingers crossed you don't have anything major that needs replacing. There probably aren't any spares.

Found this on the NHTSA website. Remedy on page 10 should upset a few on here judging by recent posts. Interestingly there is no mention of this recall on any of the UK governments recall websites.

Page 10 makes interesting reading. Bought the GT for its performance. If the fix takes the edge off of it, then the AWD, I sold would have been more than sufficient. I am in correspondence with Ford about this matter and are very much aware of my concerns. They assure me, via daily courtesy emails, that they are working on a response, and that I will have it soon. If the response is not to my liking then, it would sadden me to have to take a different course of action. Great car though and hope that my fears are not realised.

have you a contact at ford that you could share? I’ve a GT on order, but I won’t be taking delivery if it’s going to be hobbled….

I will need some fairly hefty reassurances as I fell for the 2021 MY additional battery boost from 88kwh to 91kwh OTA, which doesn’t appear to be happening. If I don’t get satisfaction from the Mach E Customer Relations Team, I will escalate my issue to the Executive Office, an address I don’t possess. I am going through the conventional channel, and I believe it is being escalated to the Executive Office. ? I hope this helps. I would say: The car is brilliant and will make you smile, as long as the performance is not compromised.

I don’t wish to whip it up, but my AWD ER, a late 2021, was assured of the battery update. I now have a more cynical view on their intentions, hence my going in with size 12 boots. Hence being quite particular with my 2 week old GT. Good luck

I would like to know why you say you 'fell' for the battery boost update from 88 to 91 kwh. When Ford announced the update they stated that it would only be available for the 22MY car and NOT the 21MY. I know this as I was disappointed that I wouldn't get it.

I would like to know why you say you 'fell' for the battery boost update from 88 to 91 kwh. When Ford announced the update they stated that it would only be available for the 22MY car and NOT the 21MY. I know this as I was disappointed that I wouldn't get it.

“Thank you very much for your email.

I hope you are doing well and keeping safe.

I am very sorry, but as stated in my previous emails, we do not have an exact time on when the update is out but I am more than happy to confirm the update is still 100% being released.

As soon as we know more we will be delighted to inform you.”

I know it’s a matter of principles and broken promises that is driving you to see some kind of resolution to this, but honestly the extra few kW of battery capacity is completely unnoticeable.

My 2021 had much higher GOM estimates with it’s 88kWh battery than my 2022 has ever achieved with it’s alleged 91kWh usable battery.

Yes, I agree with your sentiments regarding principles and broken promises being the driving force behind my dissatisfaction and that it shouldn’t become a virus. However, in a previous life, I owned a Peugeot dealer and I was ‘hung drawn and quartered’ for far less, due in a number of cases, to customer expectations. Whilst the GT (91kwh) is a different animal to my previous AWD ER (88kwh), early signs are that the extra kWh make little or no difference after making some ‘back of fag packet’ calculations involving miles per KWh etc etc. Good to get a level headEd response, thank you.
