I cannot believe they have removed this feature. How are they improving by taking away? Is it going to be a paid add on only or are they going to enable remote access to the vehicles cameras or recording (doubt it). Really not happy with this move as I presume everyone else is

Coming up to two years with the First Edition next month. Was getting a little fed up with multiple dealer trips this past winter with sync issues, modem issues, door issues and expecting the inevitable HVBJ fault soon as it'd clocked up 35k. Decided to bite the bullet and try again with a fresh one... Arrived at the dealer this morning, only a week late.

Its a very bad state of affairs indeed! So many broken promises, false and vague answers or no replies at all from all FORD Mach-e Support including FordPass Community which is a complete waste of time! Such a shame!
So what can be done? Well I finally have some email contacts for the top executives at Ford Motor Company Ltd, including L. Brankin.
How many of you UK Mach-e owners out there have something you’d like to say to them. I believe they are clueless how bad support actually is for us! Trust Pilot though days plenty! ?
I’ve given up trying to get answers From Ford. I get most of my answers from the great people on this forum….thank you.

The dealership…..forget it….the ā€˜Aftersales Manager’, a job I would have loved to have had. He does absolutely nothing. I am convinced that there is a secret Ford training centre somewhere where Ford send their Aftersales people to learn how to try to ignore the customer, promise to get back to them (and never do), state that ā€˜it is being worked on’ (knowing that it will never happen), say how much they empathise and learn to act so surprised to any customer issue. Hey ho, maybe I’m getting old and cynical and expect too much. Pre sale, oh my goodness how attentive everyone was…….?

Hey MikeC, what a scream. I’m not alone!
? A well said description to a very disappointing story! But how about all the polite responses from MME UKBEV or FPGBR that basically come to nothing? … Let alone FP Community??
Now I get pms from FPC manger now threatening to ban me 3x for breaking rules and being rude and not keeping the forum from being a positive experience. This is from posts here now,, not on FPC. So (you know who) has time to troll through my posts on macheforum and FB Mach-Ex UK to tell me to stop it… , but doesn’t have time to reply with any accurate information about concerns and questions we all have that are posted to him and others on their forum? See any proper solutions?
Why all this? I love my MME, …. but never in all my years have I made such a legitimate cash purchase and been more shocked and dismayed by lack of proper customer service, through the whole FMC including accountability from senior management.
Fact is all focus is on selling new cars & latest model. People are falling for it, just as we did! Eventually the penny drops!
Guess we can only laugh… the joke is in us! ?

Oh btw how’d your Ferry trip go?

Hi James III,
Good to see you are still there on the FP Community ?. My next FP Community suggestion will be to add SecuriSafe to the FP App, which will notify you if a door or the boot is opened. Yes indeed, I’ll probably get banned for being sarcastic now that the wonderful people at Ford have deemed it necessary to remove SecuriAlert from 1st June. Why Ford are removing SecuriAlert I have no idea and as usual the message does not give a reason and is followed by ā€˜We’re always looking for ways to improve your App…..’. I’ve got a great idea ā€˜Don’t remove SecuriAlert’!

BTW, according to our friends across the ocean who have already had SecuriAlert removed, make sure you disallow it before Ford remove as it will still work but you cannot make changes to it or disallow it. Oh the wonders of technology ?. I won’t even go into why apparently Ford didn’t think of that! (Or did they? ? I so want to believe they did!).

Ferry trip…..a change of plan, went across in one of these ā€˜fossil fuel’ machines which doesn’t have an alarm fitted…oh the joy of not getting endless messages telling me the alarm has gone off.

If you see @Wonky_Donkey's post from earlier you will see why they are removing securialert from FP app. It is going to be a paid for subscription item. Although not notified yet on my Ford account or FP app it was confirmed by my dealer yesterday.

Hillarious, no-one is going to pay for it.

And it's very unethical to remove features that were free when we took delivery of our cars and make them subscription only. perhaps even illegal.

Thanks for your reply, MikeC.
Nice to see you’re still at it! I’m the USA now visiting my elderly parents. The MME is a different vehicle as Ford intended, at least they update the older models.
Such a complete joke about our OTA’s and being completely ham strung along with stories about USA UK differences. But it certainly didn’t slow down previous OTA Power Up updates? I think its an issue with short staff after 3800 UK/EU employees git laid off last year.
Anyway those community boys read these posts instead of answering their own forum chats.
Here’s from a recent PM, ā€œ
Our rule is 3 warnings before a user is removed by a moderator. You've had more than 3 reminders now, and no, I am not going to remove you today. But I want to share a few things.
Leaving sarcastic comments on numerous posts about being banned may seem funny to you but it brings the mood down on a site we've started to help people and provide a space for users (and potential users) to find out more and talk to each other.

It’d help the mood a hell of a lot more if they just tried to offer solutions and accurate information all of us MY21-22 owners want, instead of placating & alienating us, then want to shame some of us for openly critical , and sarcasm is only trying to make the point and lessen the shocking dissatisfaction.

The new secure alert subscription service was a program Ikeena touted and recommended as an available option over a year ago. Its a full blown manned tracking service as I understand. I wrote him back saying the program didn’t exist. He beat around the bush and eventually announced it wasn’t available.
I’m sure it will be much better than this worthless, secure alert that just tells you if your car doors been open only if you get mobile service. So on a ferry it wouldn’t do you any good? Just like the alarm system ha ha.

Biggest dud was when, he confirmed that Apple Maps did not have access to EV data from the MME battery in the UK, saying Apple had not released itin the UK yet. Dead wrong it was integrated with power up 2.3.0 last April. It just takes configuring in the app. I let him know and never a remark Guess he took it personally! ?I ve found anything posted there is basically a waste of time.. My post since 18 Jan are about the OTA’s
Just checked my posts and many others and see the replies if any are there unless repeating what’s already be stated without any time frame nor commitments.

And you believe your dealer? If anything like mine ā€˜the cheque is in the post’ would have been something, rather than ā€˜we’ll get back to you’ ? and then absolutely nothing! If indeed a subscription for it is the future (apology to you in advance), if someone in Ford is thinking ā€˜oh wow, lots of customers have found this useful, let’s remove it and then if customers want it, we can make some money from it by charging for it!’, then I for one will not subscribe.

I paid ~Ā£60k for my Mach-e, the most I have ever paid for a car, yes the car is great, but the least I expect is to keep the features available to me when I bought the car, rather then them removed latterly without any compensation and expect me to subscribe later. If Ford want to keep customers then stop removing what we had when we bought the car……sorry rant over ?. Back to BMW again, at least pre-Ford I kept what I paid for….

Yes I do. I trust my dealer implicitly. He is not just my dealer but a personal friend. AND I have seen it in writing.

Totally agree the Ford ā€˜Forum’ is a waste of time.

I’ve not had any warning yet but I find it hard to post anything positive in it.

Says how wonderful Blue Cruise is whilst ignoring all the mis selling and false promises to the early 2021 adopters!

Ad for OTA’s (or the lack of them)….. that’s another story!

So just to give a bit of context regarding the UK removal of the SecuriAlert feature on 1st June 23 and the already available ā€œFord Secureā€ - they are slightly different products although they were envisaged to work together.

Not even Ford are daft enough to take something away and then magically reintroduce the same thing as a chargeable item. ?

SecuriAlert only sent you a notification of a door, rear hatch, or frunk opening event when enabled.

Ford Secure has the following….

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Pre-theft alerts
Stolen Vehicle Services is your vehicle’s 24-hour personal security guard. You’ll receive a notification if it detects that someone accesses your vehicle, attempts to tow it or tampers with it in any way.

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Vehicle tracking
If a pre-theft alert is triggered, Stolen Vehicle Services will put your vehicle into ā€˜tracking mode’. This enables us to track its location and work with the police to recover it for you. Notifications from FordPass keep you informed of the recovery process. These include letting you know when your vehicle has been located, and if it has been recovered.

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Vehicle recovery
Our Stolen Vehicle Services call centre is open 24/7. They can pinpoint your vehicle and pass its location on to the police to help them recover your vehicle. This even applies if your vehicle has been moved across borders into another country.

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Keeping your vehicle connected
By keeping your vehicle connected in the event of theft, it means that we can continue to track its location. We have therefore taken some extra steps to ensure that only the authorized user can override the vehicle’s connectivity settings. Only by triggering a reset via the FordPass app, followed by the in-vehicle acceptance, will this provide the required two-factor authentication to change the vehicle’s connectivity settings, keeping you in control.

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Keep track of your car
Location Alert* help you stay on top of how your vehicle’s being used. Select a location, such as your home or office, and then create a customised digital fence around it. You will receive notifications whenever your vehicle leaves this pre-set area, so you’ll always be in the know of your vehicle’s whereabouts even when lending it to family or friends. You can mute or turn off the notifications at any time.

Ford Mustang Mach-E UK Customers {filename}

Vehicle neighbourhood watch
Neighbourhood Alert* lets your Ford and other Ford vehicles in the area watch out for each other. If a nearby Ford vehicle receives an alarm notification, SecuriAlert or Ford Secure alert, you will also be notified, so that you can keep an eye on your vehicle and be informed of what is happening in the area.
*Neighbourhood Alert will be available in 2023; It will be added to you Ford Secure bundle via a FordPass app update.

So you are getting more for the money - but whether anyone will actually subscribe to it I don’t know.

I’ve just activated it on my vehicle to see how much it’s actually going to cost after the 90 day free trial.
