If you look at the link above, you'll see they started a run with OTA. 3.5.2.1 is most likely the one you got.I had an OTA last night. I had the download arrow and it says I have 3.5.2 now (I think that was the number).
……..and outside the scheduled update times/days set in Sync screen seemingly. That's good to know that updates can be received via WI-FI. I was wondering if I was missing out on any updates due to a rubbish mobile signal at home.
For once I’m going to stick up for Ford here - shock horror this is a rarity ?……..and outside the scheduled update times/days set in Sync screen seemingly.
Mine are set for midnight Sunday but Thursday night/Friday morning, and so over WiFi, 3.5.2.1 or whatever the fig the new update which arrived overnight is called downloaded for me to install this morning ?
Shopping trolley syndrome strikes again.
Thnx WD.For once I’m going to stick up for Ford here - shock horror this is a rarity ?
The scheduled update times set in the vehicle only apply for updates where the car needs to be offline and will not be drivable. (Of which there have so far been none in the UK)
All the other random crap updates that come down OTA can download and be installed whenever it likes as it doesn’t affect the drivability. Granted it will ask you to acknowledge the module software version swap when you click the OTA icon, but at that point the install has already happened.
I can’t blame anyone for not knowing this as the smoke and mirrors wordings that come from Ford about OTA’s are really not very clear.
Me tooHi, first time posting!!
Not seen anyone else post updates in a while and like most, I gave up hope but….. This dropped in around 14:30 this afternoon…
I look forward to waiting 6 months for the next update!!

There’s lots of improvements in the Alexa version of SYNC to look forward to. The new games are a fun distraction while killing time in the car amongst other things.Me tooOn the other hand I'm not bothered about Alexa unless there's also some other undocumented improvements.
Some good advice there on how to use the Alexa feature. There’s lots of improvements in the Alexa version of SYNC to look forward to. The new games are a fun distraction while killing time in the car amongst other things.
And while many are not a fan of A - the integration with the car has been well executed. Commands like “What’s the weather today”, “Set the aircon to xx°C”, and general factual questions are well presented on the SYNC screen.
Just don’t start asking for Amazon music or Alexa daily briefings otherwise it’ll ask you to subscribe to the Ford Streaming package. To use her basic functionality is completely free so unless you really need the extras you don’t have to pay.
I use Android Auto for all my navigation. That is integrated with Google Assistant, which i can access via the microphone symbol on the Google task bar on my main display or via the button on the steering wheel. I also subscribe to Amazon music. I can display the app from my phone to AA on my main screen and access my music. From what I can gather, Alexa is not going to be any benefit to me whatsoever. I will reserve judgment until I get it. As regards to getting the weather, well that is already a feature of AA and setting the internal temperature can already be done via the cars voice control. I suppose there might be a use for it if you are an IOS user but does Apple car play not have the same functionality as AA?There’s lots of improvements in the Alexa version of SYNC to look forward to. It’s not about whether the integration of Alexa into Sync is better than Android Auto or Apple CarPlay - it’s about the improvements that Alexa brings to the previous “Ok Ford” voice assistant more than anything. For car integrated voice controls such as the aircon etc the Alexa assistant is way quicker and more reliable.I use Android Auto for all my navigation. How much does the streaming package cost ? I'd love to be able to play my Amazon prime music in the car - Google assistant always cocks it up (probably on purpose)There’s lots of improvements in the Alexa version of SYNC to look forward to. if you have received 3.5.2.1 and have a 21MY (job 1) car then the next update you should receive is 23-PU2001-PR-FX. I wouldn't hold my breath though because they only push out updates in stages. Not all cars who are due the particular update get them at the same time, so I doubt that the second update for us early owners will be pushed out until ALL early owners have had the 1st one. Could take months.Has anyone had anything beyond 3.5.2.1 yet ?
