Wireless charger! Given I have now experienced the issue with the built in wireless charger and seeing it by lifting the mat. Does anyone know how to remove it?

I am thinking of removing it and replacing with a decent charger, not sure how yet maybe cutting some foam to the same shape with a cutout for the new charger.

Has anyone done this?

I have car scanner Pro app on my phone connected to a veepeak obd 11 reader plugged into my obd port in the car. You can customise to read several modules in the car. I find it useful.

As I have a job 1 21MY car, to be able to activate Alexa I need 3 updates. I received the 2nd yesterday, waiting on 3rd. I received this message in FP this morning. Once again Ford's left hand hasn't a clue what it's right hand is doing. As you may suspect Alexa is NOT yet available in my car.

Yes exactly the same message I received yesterday. As a MY 2021 car I still haven't had the third update yet either.

Not done it - but given up on the built in wireless pad - can't even stop my phone from draining when charging in the car - now use a cable - so if you come up with a solution, document it via pics please

Yeah will do found another thread that looks promising

https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/wireless-charger-in-media-bin-removal.26149/

I have asked for some more details and a 3d print file, my plan would be to use an Apple mag safe charger, hopefully with a 12v to USB-C PD adapter from the original connector if poss, you would loose it showing you on screen that is was charging but I am not bothered by that.

I have a friend with 3D printer and skills so I am hoping for a seamless and OEM look just replacing the original charger under the mat.

Now

Sync Version

Obvious changes are the Alexa button (which I have no intention to press)

Just thought the geeks among us would like to know the changes in software versions. :)

I have just been to my car and mine has been updated with the 3rd update as well. Has happened since 0800 this morning. In addition to what you have reported above, I see that my Android Auto is now full (ish) screen on the car. For once, since getting the car, an update has actually made the driving experience better. This update has caused the deletion of a few gripes that I was going to present to the Mach E team when I see them in 2 weeks. I might even be tempted to look at the cars in built navigation to see if there is any improvements there. I suppose now I will have to spend the next hour playing to see what else has changed

And another update carried out with both HVB & LVB at LESS than 80%. Another bit of bad info given me thinks.

Some interesting details on the most recent OTA updates.

I’ve had the car for 2 years and only now finding out about the updates and ‘drive cycles’!?

Interesting that the version # has progressed a little since the original Alexa update that became available in FDRS last year. That version was 22228 Rev 539.

Good find. They also mention dual phone connectivity. Might try that out when I have a moment.
