So I got the third update including Alexa (which has only worked once for me despite trying multiple times) the main thing I see is the improvement in real estate usage for Android Auto - this is a big deal for me. I use AA daily and it was so frustrating having a huge screen but operating AA in just a small portion. What i found odd is, I don't seem to have received the new games "Sudoku?" The only app I seem to have is sketch
Hopefully these updates are a gateway to getting BlueCruise enabled - I'm forever the optimist - I'm sure that will happen "Soon"?

Don't get too excited about the extra games. Tried them once and reached my boredom threshold after a few seconds. I wish they would dedicate more programming resources to fixing bugs and a working frunk button on the main screen and from FordPass. (There's a can of worms) ;)

One improvement I've noticed is that if you use the Ford navigation, as well as the blue line for your main route, an alternative route sometimes shows up with a light blue line with a label + 6 mins or whatever if you decide to take a different route on the fly.

Games are on a separate tab called “entertainment” now, sketch is on the “apps” tab. If you look again you should see what I mean, but I don’t have a photo.

I use Android Auto and there are some good games on there using the Game Launcher app, Cannon being one..highly addictive but passes the time quick when charging. There's around 9 games to choose from, good quality graphics

As I have a job 1 21MY car, to be able to activate Alexa I need 3 updates. I received the 2nd yesterday, waiting on 3rd. I received this message in FP this morning. Once again Ford's left hand hasn't a clue what it's right hand is doing. As you may suspect Alexa is NOT yet available in my car.

Most people have got this email and then about 5 days later get the 3rd and final update. Alexa built-in not only requires a Sync update but also require and activate subscription. Looks like Ford is activating everyone’s before deploying the last update. I know when I got the update via FDRS months ago it took about a week for the subscription to get activated and until the. Showed pending in the FordPass app. The Alexa built-in subscription is separate to the Ford Streaming subscription and is also free compare to the £4.99 per month for the latter.

Thoughts on Alexa:

Like you other UK owners I have just received the last part of the Alexa update. I find Alexa in my home incredibly useful and indeed have it in every room so I can play music throughout. The update brought new games and I find Lane Change frighteningly true to behaviour on the road! Alexa tells me the weather on command but does not do the business on my amazon music or is it Apple I'm not sure. I have signed up for the trial of the Ford streaming but don't think that I will be keeping that beyond the free trial. I keep getting messages to check my signal arrangements as it has dropped the service which does not bode well for streaming at a cost when out. Before the Alexa app in my Mach I was happily using Apple Car Play for maps occasionally (as the Ford maps sometimes could not find the correct address or the correct post code sometimes whereas Apple Maps I found to be totally accurate) but most of the time I used Apple Car Play for my music stored on my iPhone library and which worked superbly. Maybe I am doing something wrong but whether or not my iPhone is in the car the Ford streaming service does not find the music I request and it has great difficulty in changing from one selection to another. The app appears to have increased the methods of locating a destination in the Ford maps ie co-ordinates/junctions etc which is great (unless they were there before and I didn't notice!). The Alexa app is free (so far) which is great so I can tell it to find my music on my iPhone library but do I need the Ford streaming service? What are the advantages if any? Opinions and explanations please chaps.

Incidentally my Nextbase dash cams can also be connected to Alexa but I haven't gone there yet as I have enough to cope with?

Does anyone know if a UK spec garage door opener can be operated remotely via Alexa? Now that would be right handy.

Thanks for everyone who answered about my missing games - at the time I had the Entertainment tab but it was kinda greyed out and I couldn't click it. It has subsequently come alive and now all the games are in there, so maybe it came in stages ....

Typical. Don't get an update for over 6 months then 4 come along within a couple of weeks. Just got this one earlier today. Don't know yet if anything has changed.

*NEW - July 7th*
If you have a 21MY (Job 1 or Job 2) or 22MY Mach-E you will next receive Ford Power-Up 3.5.3.4

This is a minor behind the scenes update to the gateway module. This kind of update generally make minor enhancements to the overall OTA functionality of your car. In this case, they are behind-the-scenes changes and you will not notice anything different with you vehicle.

*NEW - July 10th*
If you have a 21MY (Job 1 or Job 2) or 22MY Mach-E you will next receive Ford Power-Up 3.5.4

This is a minor behind the scenes update to FordPass Connect. This is the telematics unit. This kind of update makes minor enhancements to the connectivity of your car. In this case, they are behind-the-scenes changes and you will not notice anything different with you vehicle.

We are aware that a small number of customers received the incorrect English language version of the release notes (the information displayed in vehicle after the update). These notes should have only described the minor updates being made above. These incorrect notes do not affect the function of the software update or the vehicle and there is no action required by you. All new deployments from today now have the correct release notes.

These two updates sound like the precursors to the new Sync GUI with the on screen dial controlling more than just volume, e.g. climate controls. Could it be??

Hi guys I have a Job 1 car which was stuck on 1.6. I had the dealership fix in September last year which put me up to 2.3.

Havent received any new updates since regarding this new batch release.

Is there any way of checking website F12 data etc to see if they are "failing" behind the scenes? Or do I have to get the widget again?

Does anyone know how much Ionity charging costs per kWh if you upgrade to the Ionity Premium subscription at £149/year? The Ford website is useless.

I'm trying to work out whether it makes sense to go for the £149 sub as I'm driving down to the Alps this summer and Ionity chargers are everywhere along the route.

The only other option is the Ionity Passport which gives reduced rates and can be paid for per month. That will easily pay for itself after a couple of charges.

Hiya

It’s recently increased from 29p/kWh to 37p/kWh - but it’s still quite competitive even at the new price.

You are right for two things:
Ford website is useless and yes Ionity is everywhere in France.
About the subscription-I don’t think all your trip will be more than this £149 and reduced price per Kw or min at some places on the way to the Apls
