Pre ordered back in November 2019?
No emails. Just go to your ford account. You can confirm and do everything from there

I had to quit my order a couple of times because it started doing stupid things. You may have to hit the old refresh button.

Mine's the same...

There is no email from Ford (yet) alerting you to convert your order. You have to log on to your Ford Account.

New to this site over the last few days - excellent source of information!!!

Looking at my pre-order, I can’t see anything in the T&Cs that lets us back out once we have confirmed. I’m not going to even see the vehicle until late Jan (Brighton) never mind test drive it. How can they expect us to preorder before the 8th of Jan?

I spoke to the dealer a few weeks back and he was in agreement with me that he wouldn’t expect us to order a near £60k car without ever test driving one.

Message from Rebecca (MME Conciege team). If any one wants to make changes to their preorder you CAN'T do it online. You have to speak to the Customer Relationship team. Apparently she is getting a few calls/emails

Oh thanks. It seems the date for me would be 1st April (great for me).

One question the finance does not take into account the £1000 deposit. Any ideas?

Jim, I doubt if you go past 8th Jan they will cancel your pre-order and refund the deposit. I'd expect the dealer will phone you and regardless of what you say (unless you tell them you don't want one).... there's no reason why they'd return your deposit. More likely you will be told that after the cut off date you will be in the next batch.

That cut off date you see is more likely about ensuring customers don't moan that they have to wait another 3 to 6 months if they miss the deadline.

Just heard from my dealer. Latest update is 'assembly offline'. Apparently this means it has been built and is waiting for/under going QC checks. What I want to see is 'gate released. Yippee

Simply no way I’ll order a car without ever even seeing it in the flesh. I can watch all the YouTube reviews (which are all very complimentary) but I need to sit in and drive the thing.

My ER AWD pre-order is also 23-24 weeks which is also disappointing considering I ordered in early 2020. May is not ‘early 2021’ to me.

Although you paid the deposit to Ford it actually went to your dealer. I imagine/am hoping that your £1000 will be taken into consideration at dealer. If you applied for finance and said you would put £x down then I would think you would pay £x - £1000
