Here goes my first post.

I'm very close to ordering the Select Model with Tech Pack.
Just wanted to get some info on purchasing.

Did anyone able to haggle down the price a bit?
Any extra freebies?
What places can I check to get the dealer to price match?
Is Ceramic Worth getting on Black colour model?

I've had a ceramic coating on mine and I would say that if you have the spare cash it's worth going for. Some coatings are DIY solutions and could be of variable benefit as it all depends on correct preparation of the paint surface to ensure the coating sticks to the paint. It also depends on the correct washing procedure for maintaining the ceramic coating to last longer. Do not use a drive through car wash or a scrubbing brush attachment at a jetwash as you may as well use a pan scourer.

General tip with black paint. Do not let soapy suds or water drops dry on the surface (especially in sunny or hot weather as these marks will be difficult to get out without marring the paint) I know from experience and vowed never to get a black car ever again.

Extra care when washing - which should be good washing practice anyway.

Advantages

Bird droppings rinsed off easier and less likely to etch into paintwork

Power washing gets off most of the dirt more easily before using your washing mitt and suds.

More protection from tar marks and iron fallout in the air.

Your black car will thank you as there's less likely to be swirl marks and hologram marks apparent after washing.

Nobody knows, not even Ford.

LOL - I was going to post a similar response in regard to software versions ?

If you did mean change logs - ie what’s in the updates …. Ummm the release notes that accompany any updates are not at all detailed or technical. It’s normally “we made stuff better” kind of notes. Major updates to the SYNC system happen on average once a year and they are the only stuff you’ll recognise as being different. The other updates tend to be invisible bug fixes. Do not pay any attention to US Power-up release notes or wiki’s online for similar numbers as they are often very different to ours here.

The most recent SYNC version for 2021 & 2022 cars is SYNC Version 23096 Rev 807. The 2023 builds have a slightly newer factory installed version that includes the updated UI and BlueCruise capability.

At some point the software will equalise via OTA updates - but this could be some time away.

Ford has finally issued a safety recall in the US (23S56) to replace the HVBJB on all Extended Range and GT 2021 and pre May 24, 2022 Mach-Es. Does anyone have any contacts at Ford in the UK? I’d be interested to see @Ford Motor Company plans for the UK. Will we receive the safety recall notice and have our HVBJB hardware replaced proactively? Feeling like the poor cousin here with no BlueCruise 1.0 or even the latest UI. I’ll be seriously upset if they deem it a safety issue in the US but not the UK!

My EXT AWD was built in July 2022 so I hope that it was fitted with the improved HVBJB and does not require replacement?
