Ford has finally issued a safety recall in the US (23S56) to replace the HVBJB on all Extended Range and GT 2021 and pre May 24, 2022 Mach-Es. Does anyone have any contacts at Ford in the UK? I’d be interested to see @Ford Motor Company plans for the UK. Will we receive the safety recall notice and have our HVBJB hardware replaced proactively? Feeling like the poor cousin here with no BlueCruise 1.0 or even the latest UI. I’ll be seriously upset if they deem it a safety issue in the US but not the UK!
Don’t hold your breaths!

In the US they have the ODI and NHTSA who have teeth and tell manufacturers they have a problem, they need to fix it and by when.

We have a “voluntary” SafetyRecall system in UK which means it’s up to the Manufacturers if they care enough to inform our DVSA they have a problem (if they decide it’s something they wouldn’t be able to browbeat the pension builders in the DVSA) and then what they’ll do to fix it………IM(P&E)O.

I've had the HVBJB done back in 2022, had a warning pop up in Sep 23, HVB Warning & Powertrain malfunction (usual, vehicle may shut down without warning). Went in to get fixed Sep, 3 weeks later, warnings have popped up again, so maybe the part they replaced in 2022 has a fault?

Screen getting done tomorrow after a 12 week wait, car booked in for next week for HV fix, hopefully this time they fix rather than reset the software and hope it stays off for another few weeks.

Love this car but it's trying at times!

How long does the car take from
Dagtops?

And how do you guys track it yourself?

Thx
Unfortunately Ford in their infinite wisdom don't seem to be in any rush to deliver ANY cars from Dagtops. It seems that they will only send out full transporter loads to dealers. My dealer has 4 sold cars (not MME's) which he has been waiting for 3 weeks.
If you KNOW that it is Dagtops then the next update should be that it has arrived at your dealer.

Thx

If you configure one on the website now, it says 1 week delivery. Bit misleading but I don't mind waiting as my charger installation date is next month.

Thx again

I don't wish to sound pedantic, but if I remember correctly it says "from 1 week". If anyone orders one on a Monday and gets it by Sunday I will be VERY surprised.

Just checked again

My English is not great so I don't really know why it says "Weeks" instead of "Week"

Maybe it is what you said just worded differently.

I was looking at the "stock" page. Maybe they give a different time scale when you actually order. I would still be sceptical as to whether they can actually deliver in a week.

It’s not your English, it’s theirs, we give them a perfectly good language to use over the pond and they ruin it?

New windscreen finally in, no Ford logo on this one.

So, some praise for Ford and the Dealer coming up (just to warn you!).

I contacted Gates Ford Harlow about the HV/Powertrain fault that's reappeared after about 3 weeks and sent them the PDF of the recall in America. They first arranged for me to take the car in immediately but I chose Tuesday instead. I received a further that day call saying that the MasterTech had checked my car remotely and knew what the issue was but it could take up to a month to get the part.

Gates Harlow said that I would be getting a replacement car until mine is fixed and I was contacted by Ford Lease straight away, a hire car from Enterprise was sorted (Premium car as well!!) without any fuss.

So, credit where it's due, excellent service from Gates Ford in Harlow and Ford Lease.

I had the HV done in Nov 21 after the fault showed in the app, it reappeared in Sep 23 and was cleared at the Dealer, only to show again last week. Each time, the message showed after hard acceleration (onto a motorway from a long slip road) and warning symbols stayed on the dash until fixed as well as the messages in the app each day. If it does take a month, the total time my car has been off the road in 2 and a half years will be 11 weeks (not counting the 12 weeks to get the windscreen replaced, I just drove it with 3 cracks!)

Does anyone know if the Select model comes with floor matts? My dealer wasn't sure either.

Also, I was asking them to check my VIN if possible but apparently they can only see 6 characters on the system and not the whole VIN.

Not sure if the carpet mats are included., but I would 100% recommend the ford rubber mats even if they are. They fit perfectly and not that expensive.

Yes, THIS /\

I use car mainly for working in and those rubber mat inserts are just amazing, easier to take out, wash, dry, treat with trim conditioner and put back to virtually as new again.

Much better than carpets and essential if your dogs enjoy muddy walks.

Interested in what trim conditioner you use to keep them looking good.

I’ve tried a couple of products but it’s always made them a bit slippery and I’ve had to wash it off again with detergent (I’m guessing there’s some silicone in the solution that’s causing that)

…so yeah super interested to know if there’s something that will do the job ?
