Got another update (2023 vehicle) but now my SYNC is all messed up ? when i start the vehicle sync can't even start the radio station, just keeps waiting for it to boot up .... also navigation/trip stats. I do however am able to open menu but i couldn't find anything helpful there, tried restarting sync 4 times (on the steering wheel) to no avail. When i park and turn of the vehicle sync does not turn off fully? You can still see the screen is "on" even tho it's black (like when you turn on your PC screen without the rig being on). Weird, but i hope it fixes itself today, gonna leave it be for now.

In Ford pass i didn't get notification for power up update, but it says something about blue cruise.

I thought 6.1 was only out in the US? According to this thread it is related to the BlueCruise 1.3 rollout in the US which makes me think it has been rolled out to your VIN incorrectly. Hope I’m wrong! @Mike G your view would be much appreciated.

Seems us MY21ers are the runt of the litter. I'm only up to 3.5.21 (or near offer) despite messages from Ford telling me Alexa will be next. Been waiting months...

Also- how come a simple 12v battery can't be sourced? I bet if you had the spec Halfords or Kwikfit (for instance) would have something on the shelf that could be substituted.

So this was something I also had a hard time wrapping my head around. Surely a 12V AGM battery of the spec required can’t be that hard to source?

Ah but the devil is in the detail… Ford will only fit Ford approved parts when doing warranty work (understandable) and recently the production of approved Ford 12V batteries moved facilities.

As I understand it the new battery has a new part number for ordering - but nobody knows what it is… so massive delays on sourcing.

I’ve read similar posts in the Facebook community where people have had their cars stuck at dealers for weeks and weeks because of this supply chain issue. Kinda crazy that something as apparently simple as this could be causing so many issues (I’m sure there must be more to it that we know)

Anyway Customer Relations Case Manager is working tirelessly to source one for me and another customer at the same dealership who is also stuck because of this.

…and all of this is even before we start work on the diagnostics and repair for the HV system

Madness! So they'd rather have your car stuck in their pound (plus others no doubt) meanwhile Angry customers will be turning to Forums and social media to vent their anger. Do Ford really want a lousy rep just for refusing to fit a battery not branded Ford? I'd like to know what Companies such as Bosch and Varta for instance think about that...

Found the culprit for the SYNC misbehaving yesterday! Yes it was another update (probably going in the background and affecting the unit), was greeted with a normal responsive SYNC today but only a few miles into drive i noticed my mirrors were folded ?
Had to re enable auto folding mirrors option, i guess most of my settings got reset to default, have to run through those now.

Could someone point me to where I can check the current software version installed on the car.

Thanks

On the day that my current update (4.2.2.1) was installed when I first went to my Mach to go out I found that the passenger seat had decided to recline totally flat!?

If only there was another source of power that the car could be plugged into to make it go! Seriously, I can understand that the 12V battery may be flat and that they will only fit an approved one to deliver it back to the customer, but surely for diagnostic purposes they can connect it to another 12V battery, or even a battery charger.

do we have walk away lock on the car in UK?

I cannot seem to find the option in the car and it doesn't lock when I walk away.

Unfortunately not

It can be enabled using aftermarket tools - but this counts as a modification to the vehicle that would have to be declared to your insurer.

Thanks, guess I can live without it.

Other thing I would like to know is if there's a way to disable the option for the cruise control to not increase my speed with road signs.

I set 37 near cameras (going down hill) and it saw the 40 sign and changed my speed to 40. I ended up in 42 just before the camera and had to slow down.
