Stats @ 90,350 miles:

Total kWh used to charge 31,454
Total cost £8,580
Av p/kWh 27p
Av p/mile 9.5p
Av miles/kWh 2.87

kWh split home/DCFC 75%/25%
£ split home/DCFC 44%/56%

HVB SoH 88.5%

If ICE car running 45mpg at today’s petrol cost would have cost c£12,970 in fuel so ‘Stangy achieved a saving of around £4,389 in petrol.

Plus of course c£750+ saving in road tax and the saving on the opportunity cost of owning an ICE would have in terms of Corporation Tax, then there’s the saving in company car tax.

Booked in for Contact recall, 3rd service & transmission oil change & analysis.

Still going well, no problems, amazing car-proper work horse.

Phwoar! I would!

Extremely difficult to beat my 90,350 miler MME but if I could get my tools in it the Crapi’s it’s a hot contender for ‘Stangy’s replacement!

There is no point to the Capri. Same size as mme and the other new Ford EV. Should have made a tiny Ford fiesta EV.

The Haptic Touch buttons everywhere in the Explorer and the Capri would drive me mad. It’s the one feature from the VW ID range that is universally hated and Ford decided to carry it over when they based these models on VW’s MEB platform. Inside the cockpit both vehicles are virtually identical. I think they’re a step back from the Mach-E’s interior. The user interface has not advanced much either. I was disappointed by both models.

Bang on with the requirement for new smaller cheaper cars, not every body wants or can afford big expensive ones?

If EV uptake is to grow, the motoring public need affordable realistically rangy cars.

Dealer also told me Capri’s smaller than MME and Explorer’s smaller than that, is that not correct?

Explorer due in showrooms next month and Capri end of the year.

They did tell me the Crapi’s range is 390 though which for a high mileage user is tempting, but I do like to drive the Mustang brand around - I’m just an AMD ?

Well, I’m sad to report, my Mustang is no more. Plugged it in last night, woke up this morning to find it dead. the earliest my dealer can see it, is in two weeks *sigh* it looks like it might be the 12v battery, but I’m assuming that, based on what I’ve read online, so who knows…..

Oh, dear, sorry to hear that.

I wouldn’t be waiting for a dealer, though, it’d be back on the road by lunchtime?

Somehow, anyhow?

it hasn’t been a great day. I’ve spent all on the phone, Ford, and the dealers - I’ve tried all those in the area -have been no use whatsoever. I’ve got the frunk mostly out, as I had to remove all the covers, so I could get it unplugged from my charger, so I’m thinking of removing the battery, and trying to get it replaced under warranty, but I'm not holding my breath….

First thing I would do is stick the 12V battery on an overnight charge. That might make it usable in the short term whilst you wait for a replacement battery. We had the same issue with our Zoe and it ran fine for almost a month once it was charged. Try and get hold of a battery charger that reconditions the battery if you don't already have one.

Charger now on order from Amazon :)

i’ve made some progress, I’ve jump started it ( from a fiesta of all things :) ), and the car is now sat “running” ( I’ve turned off the power down timer ), though it’s displaying a shedload of errors, and now claims there’s a power train malfunction, and the drive selector is locked, so one step forward….

strangely, the update for dc charging has now decided to show up, wondering if the 12v battery has been the issue all along…..

Does anyone know how to turn off the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) when the car is on but in Park?

I want to know how to do this so I can car camp. Having the lights on wastes energy but also attracts attention.

Currently the only option seems to be to have the car off and crack a window open, but that won't work in extreme temperatures.

Reading up about this, it seems like it might only be configurable by using a tool like Forscan connected via an OBD2 dongle. Hmmm.
