How does it do around the track? Do you lose a lot of tread?
I probably should make a topic for it with some video. It scrubbed the tires up some but I only drove it a little. I had other cars there I wanted to drive more around the track.

Based on my chats with the Service Mgr @ one of the largest Dealers here in SoCal, the OTA updates alone will not complete the HVBJB recall. After a number of updates, he still recco’s that I bring it in to ensure all the recall updates have been completed. Planning to do that next week. Tomorrow, I have track time scheduled. Will be my 1st time engaging Unbridled or Extend since the OTA updates began. ?
Well that’s not right at all. Misinformed.

UPDATE 8/7: Had my GT (non PE) at the AutoCross today. 15 runs in Unbridled Extend. Temps 100+ thru the day. No runs, no drips, no issues. MME functioned as expected. As it was a short course, limited opportunity for wide-open throttle but every launch was at least 3-5 secs of max power. Tires and suspension worked much harder on the short course. Dropped my time by 6 secs over the course of the day. Very pleased!

Took my car into the dealership for its appointment on Monday and after a day and working with ford support they sent me home with the car and said it looks like it’s a bug and hopefully a software update will come soon. Meanwhile about 90% of the time turning in unbridled extend I get the service soon alert and it feels like I’m not getting the same performance as before the recall update.

Just wanted to follow up with a quick update and also to see if anyone else is having these issues.
So I’m back to the dealer tomorrow for service. I’m still unable to use my unbridled extend on a regular basis. Most times it’s completely greyed out and when it isn’t after turning it on I get the orange wrench and the service soon alert. Which clears once the vehicle is turned off. About a week ago after receiving the update I went into drivers assistance in my settings and accidentally touched speed warning and it turned on. I went to turn it off and it told me speed warning would be turned off this trip only and would be turned back on next trip. When I turned the car off I got a quick pop up about mykey being in use. I thought this was odd since I never set up a mykey. So I checked under mykey and it showed 0 mykey and 3 admin keys. I’ve worked with ford assistants on this site as well on the phone. They’ve had me reset and reboot my sync which still didn’t fix anything. When calling the dealership to schedule my appointment they tried to write it off saying I have mykey setup and when I explained it doesn’t matter which key is in the car I still get these errors and I’ve reset the sync. So she schedule an appointment for tomorrow with their electrical tech.
fingers crossed but not too hopeful it’ll get fixed. Beginning to get frustrated as I’ve only had my car for three months and been to the dealership three times. My last car I had 5 years and never had it to the dealership other than for regular service.

You can go ahead and cancel your appointment, they won't be able to solve it. It is a really weird low level software bug that has popped up. It's being worked on

Which part? The unbridled or the mykey speed warning part? Or all of it?

The unbridled extend part has a fix that has been tested and is ready to go.

The mykey thing just started popping up out of nowhere a week or so ago so still in the investigation phase

This error popped up for me as well today. I was driving around town on a very short trip (< 10km), decided to put it on Unbridled Extend for variety and the Service Vehicle Soon/wrench icon showed up. I also got the error message on FordPass. 1 Pedal driving was disabled as expected for Unbridled Extend, but power was not limited.

The next time I started my car the wrench was gone. The FordPass message cleared off my Home Screen after an hour or so.

I’m gonna hold off on scheduling service and see if I learn more here.

Update on my experience so far. I’ve take the car into the service shop now 3 times with each time being told it’s been fixed when it hasn’t. Ford has been working with the service center and now authorized the replacement of the pcm and the harness. Hopefully that will fix this issue both with the unbridled extend as well as the speed warning.

Wait for the software update to come out, you’re probably wasting your time until then.

I'm supposed to take my GTPE onto the track next weekend.

Will try Unbridled Extend locally first... but if it errors out like before (without real consequence except for the in-car warnings)... should I even risk a track day?

I don't think it's a big deal if it happens, just turn off the car for 5 minutes to clear it.
