I don't like it one bit, and if my dealer did that I would find another, or get another brand.

Oh I wouldn't pay it either. I'm not one of those "money is no object" buyers. Wish I was in that position.

But I understand why sellers increase the price when the market for a particular model is hot, just like why sellers decrease the price when the market for a particular model is cold. Basic market pricing. I'd do the same thing if I were selling a vehicle. In fact I have (when selling a used car for private sale), trying to get the best price I can.

In 2004, I was looking at a Chrysler Crossfire. They had an ADM of $10,000 added to it. The first thing I said to the salesman was "That comes off immediately". He told me that would be impossible and they were getting $15,000 ADM in Cleveland. I laughed and said that we were not in Cleveland, then got out of the chair to leave without another word. The manager of the dealership met me as I was at the door and said that the ADM was gone. I guess it depends upon how badly they want to move the car off the lot or how stupid people are with their money!

Yep. $10k extra for a car they were really willing to sell for no extra is pretty ballsy. That means the market really wasn't $10k higher. If it was, they'd have let you walk knowing there were plenty of others willing to pay it.

A lot of dealers with ADM will probably come down to MSRP if you are willing to wait the few months (or more) it takes to come from the factory. It's really only if you want it now that ADM applies.

Sad but true, wish Chrysler was treated more like a real brand positioned somewhere in the middle of the market like Volvo and keep Dodge as the Ford and Chevy fighter.

I am happy for our Mexican friends at the factory where Ford has provided them jobs to assist with the growing a stable Mexican economy. Much preferred over sending the jobs to China IMHO.

The saga continues ... Another attached front license plate. Pretty convinced now it's factory attached.

Yes, it appears that Ford decided to install them at the factory for states where they are required, possibly because I have seen many dealers mangle the job and they wanted to be sure the install was done properly. Just wish this would have been communicated to the dealers so they could delete for customers with the preference, or even better that dealers would be proactive and delete when asked. It seems like the Dallas dealer did that for one of their early deliveries.

And on my order it had the front license plate delete code!!!
