If you saw the video about Sync 4 you can schedule the temperature so this would mean also the defrosters.
I don’t mean while you are plugged in. I have a heated garage. I mean once you are on the road. I have a 45-60 minute drive to work.

Yes, i understand that. I mean 1 FE order that they can sell to a client. So all dealers will get at least one FE. The rest would be social media and online orders spread across dealers. I was not talking about the demos.
With all due respect, this doesn't sound right. If there are 2100 Ford EV certified dealers, and @trutolife27 stated only 3000 FEs are scheduled for production in his post last night, there are only 900 people out there with a reservation or Mach Drop delivery? That number seems pretty low to me.

I don't think that's the way its working though. Dealers aren't being allotted any inventory MMEs to sell yet. Just the FCTPs, and the rest are customer orders.

One FCTP per EV-certified dealer, but not one FE.
Yep, and with over 2,400 NA dealers and only about 1,200 NA First Editions and then consider that some of the large California dealers and others will be handling multiple FE deliveries for their customers means most dealers will see none.

Anyone know what the build capacity is per month? Only if they have 54k orders then it could be a year waiting list to get one.
As I recall the target output at the Cuautitlan plant is 1300 cars per week maximum. That is spread split between 2 shifts. The issue isn't workers, it parts delivery it seems. While there are, and will be, enough parts for all the current orders and those yet to come, they're not available all at once hence no 3rd shift. That's almost 42 weeks at max production or roughly Mid-late July 2020. Keep in mind that Ford will have varying priorities for production. Right now, it might be FE's and early North America orders. Later, there will be an emphasis on EU/UK orders. Only Ford has the big picture. We're just getting snippets of it and examining them through a powerful magnifying glass.

@ChasingCoral had version 6 of his production estimate spreadsheet up in September that might give you a better idea of the production guesses. It can be found at:

We have also heard that not all dealers will be able to sell the Mach E if they are not certified to service it. So that may reduce the number of dealers getting the car.

@ChasingCoral previously posted this chart. The FEs are not part of the FCTP ordering system. Yes, a dealer could be a customer if they were to have specifically ordered a FE, but it wouldn't be part of this program. Though, not sure if Ford prohibited the dealerships from doing so.

IIRC, the production timing on that flipped around again. But it's all kinda moot whether FCTP or customer units are built in Oct if the OKTB (OK to buy) info is correct, which said neither customer nor FCTP units can leave the Cuautitlan plant until OKTB is given. And the date we heard for that at the time was Nov 23 (no word on if that has changed).

That would mean anything being made between now and then will just sit on the lot (that appears to be able to hold 3000-4000) waiting for OKTB.

I kind of remember reading here that the US had about 2100 EV Certified dealers and Canada at least 3 or 4 hundred more. Those numbers will be going up as the F-150 EV program gets ramped up.
I think the best info last nite was that the #1 Customer First Edition was already off the line.
I expect we will have a build date / vin # soon.

My dealer is getting 4 First Editions. I think 2 are for retail customers and 2 are for dealership employees. In total, 5 employees have confirmed orders. I dont think the dealerships were allowed to obtain reservations for any model without an owner's name tied to it.

Not sure about other dealers but my dealer said Ford is watching to make sure their MME end up with the name of the person on the original order. If people refuse to take delivery then they have a affidavit to sign so they can show it to Ford and not get dinged for now having a MME on the lot without an owner.

Or all that could have been just a story.....

Agreed. I was only pointing out that FEs could not be ordered as part of the program. I know the timing is off in the picture. I believe that was the date the car was to have passed all of the government inspections/regulations.

Yes. Good point. Dealers are Ford's only customers but dealership can be it's own customer.

We've been told the Machdrop FEs won't even go into the order bank until mid-Oct. I don't know if that's representative of all FEs, or maybe the Machdrop FEs will just come in on the tail end.

I still mostly assume the FCTPs will be made first (Oct) and the customer units after that (Nov), but who knows. Or maybe intermingled together thru Oct/Nov (maybe within blocks of same trims). It's all just scattered bits and pieces of info.
