wrong again. The id4 first edition or the id4 pro is rear-wheel drive and not 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. 7.8seconds. the range is 250 miles for RWD., not AWD. You're wrong and let me say it again wrong again.

that is a correct estimate at a low between 6 to 6.5 from other EV websites but not by VW. But with that, the range is not 250. We do not know the range and the same websites that estimate the low 6 seconds 0 to 60 also say the range will be between 215 and 225.
Also, the price of an AWD id4 pro s is almost 50,000, and the same AWD mache is 53,000 after x-plan and incentives.
not the 10,000 or 7,000 or even 4,000 difference.

and the model y vs the mache 0 to 60 times are the same. model y long-range is 4.8 and mache AWD EXT is 4.8. Model y performance is 3.5 and the Mache gt is 3.5 to 3.7.
The same 0 to 60 times so your wrong again there.

The feds have announced their official driving-range figure for the 2021 Volkswagen ID.4, and the new EV is good for 250 miles. That's for the 201-horsepower, rear-motor, rear-wheel-drive ID.4 Pro and ID.4 First Edition, both of which use an 82-kWh battery pack. A 302-horsepower, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant will come later, and the range estimate for that version is not yet available.

I've got a deposit for the VW ID4 Pro AWD as the backup plan to my MME GT reservation.

I don't see how the ID4 AWD will hit 250mi EPA range if the RWD tops out at 250 already. 6s 0-60 matches up with some Mach-E trims and the AWD range ought to be comparable to the SR MME AWD. MME interior though is stellar and VW can't match that, sorry.

Audi Q4 e-tron is based on the same MEB platform as ID4 but apparently only seats 4. That's a problem. The estimated range is 280 but that's got to be WLTP which puts the EPA range at 225 or so.

The ID4 will be a wonderful, sensible replacement for my boringly practical Outback. I've got it reserved because it's reasonable and it's a refundable $100 deposit... but dangit, I want the Mach-E GT because day-um, I don't want sensible anymore! I want to drive a Mustang! I want to feel the thrill of acceleration onto the interstate with my kid in the backseat and adventure equipment in the trunk. The Mach-E's got so much promise and I can't wait to get one.

Yup got it - I have similar concerns - have you considered run flats? Not sure if they are available for the 19 inch tire size of the Premiums or even if they are available if they work as well as OEM.

The Ford Rep at the viewing confirmed run flats on all MME.

In the trunk there is "flat tire" kit: air inflator + "fix it flat" -gook in a can.

The car I viewed had RF. The car I viewed had the air inflator + kit in the trunk.

He said this was standard - but you may be correct and he was mistaken.

Just reporting what he replied in response to my questions.
