It's still the case as Ford hasn't changed the DC fast charging curve on this Mach-e to protect the battery life. Some say is too conservative

There's been a few posts with the exact charging curve graphs, times, and breakdowns in this forum if you want to get really detailed using the search function

I have an outside sales job and drive a lot around central Florida so I DCFC charge a lot.

This is off the top of my head and assuming I'm at a Tesla or EA charger (or chargers that have 250kw or higher)
Also assumes good weather and preconditioned when I pull up

20% to 80% in 28 minutes at a Tesla or EA charger

You'll see 150 KW briefly from a 20% to 30% Battery level and then it starts to creep down with these guesstimates:

125kw 40% Battery level
105kw 50% Battery level
90 kw 60% Battery level
70 kw 70% Battery level

When you get to 80% it drops to 36kw
At 90% 25kw
95% 11kw
And as low as 6kw going from 95-100%

15%-85% about 40/45 mins

1 hour to 1:30:00 to get to 100% depending on if you feel the need for true 100%. It takes a little (a lot) longer to go from 99 to 100 because it's filling up the reserve. ( I think?)

As I understand it the full 91 kilowatt hours can keep filling to the full true 98 kilowatt hours

One game I've played is pull in at 15/20% or as high as 40-50% and stop at 65%/75%. You can do this in about 15 to 20 minutes or less since you'll mostly be at 90-150kw speeds in that 15-70% zone. Depends on where your next charge stop is if you're doing short charges.

Again assumes you're preconditioned or good weather which we have here in FL

So when traveling road trips I look at when I'm going to take lunch/dinner for the 80% to 90% charge stops or quick stops do the 15 minute charge

That's only because we have so many chargers along the routes I've taken Florida like Tampa to Tallahassee for example is loaded with chargers.

Good luck and enjoy your travels!
I'm in the Southwest. Last time we took a road trip it was often a long distance between Tesla charging stations. Some of them did not offer charing for non Tesla vehicles. The small Tesla location where we live has no slots for other vehicles at present. Is that unusual?

No reserve.
Not filling to 98kWh.

Thanks of giving me so much detail.

Do you always precondition. I used to do that on the Tesla -- it was automatic once you picked a charger. I've never done it with the Mache.
I use Android Auto, I pick a charger from Google maps and press navigate- if I'm parked and it's quiet I hear a whirring sound start up.

That's the nearest I've come to thinking it's preconditioning. I don't always use the map feature to go to a charger so I don't always precondition.

If it's cold I think about it and definitely use google maps and hope it's preconditioning

You'll have to check your Tesla app to see if it's V2 which only accepts Tesla versus V3 or V4. Tesla has not updated V2 sites to accept other vehicles and hasn't mentioned any plans to.

The website supercharge dot info has a lot of info about Tesla Superchargers in your area it will show old and new.

Drive modes don’t really affect range. They change steering and accelerator mapping. Driving style affects it more (acceleration, speed). Keep it under 75 for best efficiency on the highway.
Thanks, sorry about the late reply

Yes double check but I think Apple car play does something similar with the Mach-e but it depends on the year?

I have an 85 mile commute each day. I've left mine on Unbridled, since I bought it new last November (2025 GT, with the performance upgrade). I do get on it every now and then, but mostly drive it easy. My morning commute is on city streets, because traffic is lighter and I avoid the tolls, but take the Interstate home each afternoon and set cruise control for 70MPH just to save a little time. I have averaged 3.3 miles per KW over the last 3K miles. Just hit 8K miles this morning on the way to work.
Thanks. Sorry for the late reply. 3.3kWh is impressive, especially in unbridled -- though most here say the modes don't matter.

There is not. Iphone will not allow preconditioning on older MMEs, only the new cars. Apple has consistently refused to add the feature.

Android can precondition when using Google Maps. You can also subscribe to the connected navigation in the car to get native preconditioning, but the charger list isn't maintained by Ford, it's not worth the cost.

None of that actually matters though, you won't notice the difference on this trip. Don't waste energy (mental or car) on preconditioning right now.

Fascinating thanks. Love your advice to be blissfully unaware.
