When do I finace?

So I placed my MME order last January 10th. My question now is, how do I do the financing side? Should I apply for a car loan now? Or do I have to wait for the delivery of the car first?

Only thing I would do in advance is once you get the notice it’s at the dealer, look up the current Ford interest rates and look up rates at your local credit union.

The dealer can finance through the credit union. Go with whoever has the best rate.

If financing through a bank on your own (not through the dealer), many banks give you approval with a 30ish day window. Once you have a delivery date, start looking at financing a week or so beforehand. You can still have the dealer give you a quote (at time of delivery) from their banks and choose the best option.

I actually got approved through my credit union prior. They sent me a check. Turned out I never used it as Ford offered better financing at purchase, so I took that.

I have a pre-approved loan that is good for 30 days, and this coming Sunday is the 30th day. Originally, I applied for a car loan to get either the Camry Hybrid or the Accord Hybrid until I saw a Mach-E at a Target parking lot. After a few Mach-E YouTube videos, I ordered mine on January 10th. I guess I'll just have to re-apply a loan when I get a delivery date.

You’ll be waiting quite sometime. Yes, you’ll reapply, you also have to do a ford credit app as well, even if you don’t finance through them.
