When does recall notification clear in FordPass App (after recall is completed)?

I recently got my windshield recall done. How much time does it take to update the system and FordPass app to remove the notification/ action ?

Do you know how the recall is cleared? I just got my car back, but the dealership is leaving my work order "open" since they need engineering to get with them about non-recall stuff. Would mine still clear since I assume they'll still submit that recall for payment?

If the dealer marked the recall as complete, it will clear eventually.

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the flag gets cleared from a car after the dealer does the work, submits the info to Ford, and Ford then processes and pays the dealer. Once Ford completes that then it will go away. Which is why it can be a few weeks to go away.

This is exactly right. The recall will not clear until Ford pays the dealer for the repair and that can take several weeks, depending on how fast the dealer actually submits the claim to Ford for payment.

Tell us your service went great. No scratches on your car? Roof panels out of alignment? Did they have to replace any glass or just pull and reseal? I’m still not sure I want to get this done.

Just reselling of windshield. No scratches as such as result of this service

Recall service completed 17 Dec. The recall notification was removed on 25 Dec.

That’s great, I picked mine up on 12/21, so hopefully that means mine will clear sometime this coming week!

I had the recalls done 3 days ago. The roof recall disappeared from the app today, but the windshield recall is still there. I assumed both would vanish at the same time if the dealer submitted them together.

How long was your vehicle in the shop for the recalls?? My dealer is telling me it might take 2 - 3 weeks. He is also telling me that Ford will pay for a rental vehicle but finding one is difficult to impossible.

I dropped it off Monday morning and it was done Wednesday afternoon. They got me a rental car from Hertz. There are dozens of cars available across several rental companies around here. Your dealer is telling you that rental companies have zero near you? It might be wise to try a different dealer, as it seems that they don’t want to do the work.
