Noticed my CP had a white light starting a week ago on Wednesday. No issues charging, but the app would never have the correct status from the charger. I could reboot the EVSE from the app, so Wi-Fi connectivity was there. My charging activity in the app had several charge sessions showing in progress.

Today I called CP support. Rep. was surprised by this. Then mentioned there was some SW glitch that maybe responsible. Asked me to wait one more day. This evening my CP EVSE went back to normal after 1 week: finally a green status and app is displaying the correct status. Coincidence related to me calling them?

Any L1 supply cord other than Ford (assume CP does not have a L1)

Over the Memorial; Day weekend, we got a red light charge fault on our car when unplugging from the CP Home Flex. First time ever. Soon after the MME showed th Electrical System Drain error message described in this thread:
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/electrical-system-drain-error-message-no-tsbs.28414/
The CP showed a white LED about the same time.
Are they related? Can the CP cause the 12v battery to not charge? Didn't think so, but there is no such thing as a coincidence...
CP tech support couldn't fix it and reboots had no effect, so CP is replacing my unit.

My wifi dropped off last week a couple times. I attributed it to a change in internet speed initiated by the provider. Reset pretty much everything and it was connected when I left home on Friday and the app appears to be connected from out of town. Fingers crossed.

As of yesterday, the Wi-Fi reconnected on its own without a hard reset of the device and it’s been connected ever since. No updates to the charger and last update was back on 3/27. The Wi-Fi issue only started 2, maybe 3 weeks ago

We just bought a Lightning and discovered that our Chargepoint somehow set itself to deliver the full 50A as the Lightning was drawing 12KW (which is 240V * 50A) according to the Chargepoint app. It's installed on a 60A breaker and I'm sure I set it to 48A when I activated it a year ago.

The Chargepoint FAQ says to go into the settings in the app and set the appropriate charging rate, but apparently that setting was removed some time ago. I had the bright idea to update the Chargepoint app to see if that setting returned, and now I cannot access any settings at all. Attempting to gives a nebulous "Network error", even though the Chargepoint is connected to WiFi and still reports charging data when plugged in to our Mach-E. And of course, I can't remove it to redo the activation and set it to the correct charging rate for our circuit because removing it is in the settings in the app.

Long story short, I can charge our Mach-E but not our Lightning due to these issues. The unit itself has great hardware, but if they can't fix their software quickly, I'll ditch it for another brand that allows me to set the charging rate appropriately and without hassle (and I'll probably look for something with load sharing features as well).

Call ChargePoint and have them set the breaker size to 60A remotely. And fix the network issues.

I got my MME about 3 weeks ago. I hardwired an Autel to a 60 amp breaker and charge at 48 amps. I'm happy with it so far. The software gives me all the info I need and it has not dropped it's wifi connection.

Great advice as always. That will be the next step but will have to wait until after work today.

I also tried to use their installer app ("Chargepoint Service Pro") which supposedly allows you to change the breaker setting on the fly, but after removing the faceplate to get to the QR code, it says the unit is already activated and doesn't let me progress further. I'm guessing if I was able to remove it and set it up fresh in the installer app that I might then permanently have the option (or at least until they decide to change that software too).

You don't need to get to the QR code. Reboot the ChargePoint to make sure Bluetooth is active and then launch the Service Pro app. It should find it over Bluetooth.

Unfortunately that didn't work. The only option I have in the Service Pro app is "Setup Device" with a "Get Started" button that takes me to the "Scan device QR code" page, which also has an option to "Enter Code Manually" which just asks for the MAC address and password (in case your phone did not focus on the QR code, which mine did not). It doesn't even attempt to connect over Bluetooth.

It seems that a prerequisite is to deactivate/remove the unit from the normal Chargepoint app, but again, I cannot do that because it's in the settings page that I cannot access. I think I'm stuck calling Chargepoint support.

None of that is normal. You may have a hardware problem. Either way, I agree that you’ll need to call ChargePoint.

There's a new chargepoint app update today that fixed the settings issue, so now I should be able to remove and re-add the unit tonight, which (fingers crossed) should allow me to set the circuit breaker to the correct size.

I said they needed to fix their software pronto, and it appears that they have so kudos to them. Hopefully getting things set correctly will go smoothly tonight.
