Wind noise

When my husband calls me from the car, I hear wind noise. If he stops at a stop sign, it stops, then at about 30 mph, I can hear it again. Whisper mode helps alot, but it then has a "fuzz" sound. He doesn't hear it, but it is loud on my end. Anyone else have this? He thinks it might be related to the microphone that is located up by the place for dark glasses. His phone is on the charge pad.
I have reached out to the dealer and waiting to hear back for a fix!

Yes, wind noise at certain speeds is noticeable. I get it around 40 - 45 mph.

Wind noise was a pretty common problem early on, many of us added a thin foam core strip over the top of the windshield. Recently there was a service note, but seems to be for older VINs

Mine has same issue but was going to wait till after recall work is complete to see if it improves

Did you have recall work done? If so, has the sound disappeared? I'm guessing ours was done before we bought it. How would I know? Also, I hear the noise more through the phone than in the car. If my husband calls me from the car, it is like a heavy rain, or big wind storm that I am hearing through the phone. He doesn't hear it, yet, if I call him from the car, he hears it. Not sure why our phones would have that noise and it doesn't happen when he calls from his truck, which goes back to the MME! So weird!!

Dealership put me off until they can get replacement windshield in case mine cracks. Hopefully sometime in the next 2 weeks

My recall work is complete. Still have wind noise. I asked them to do this TSB, they said the sealed it. Not sure if we are on the same page.

It seems that the recall work has helped. But I haven’t driven it enough since to be sure.

My car is at dealer now for recall work. I'll let you know if that fixes it. If not, I'll have them do the TSB

Call them. Give them the TSB. They can see if it applies to you and measure the height difference as specified in the TSB. If it doesn’t apply to you, you can't "have them do it".

Will do, I figure if it doesn't apply to me and it's still there then I'll probably DYI it

Interesting - I think my vehicle is too new to be affected by this but I hear obvious wind noise when hitting 60-65 MPH. It sounds like it's coming from around the driver-side door or window, though, rather than the glass roof. It made me wonder if my window wasn't sealing fully, but I don't feel any air. Reading some of the horror stories about how taking it back to the dealership results in something worse, maybe I'll just check my own seals and live with it. I don't recall hearing anything like this on my other vehicles but maybe I just never noticed... will have to take a closer listen.

See that I didn't update this thread. My recall work was done and the glass company didn't like the way the Pano roof was installed so they totally removed it and then resealed. The fit is way tighter to windshield now and absolutely zero wind noise
