I finally got the new update and UI, but now I cannot connect Android Auto wirelessly. It gets to the screen with the blue 'Continue' button, but clicking button does nothing and just stays on screen.

I have reset all of connection and reset the Sync system, but nothing has worked. I can connect via USB.

Anyone experience thus after the update?

Not sure if it will help, but you could try removing the vehicle from Android Auto's connection list and then let it pair again wirelessly.

From the phone's settings app, go to Connected devices, then Connection preferences, then Android Auto, then Previously connected cars. Then tap the car and tap Forget.

Then you can go back to the AA settings on the phone and tap Connect a car, then connect wirelessly.

Weird as my Android Auto has been better since the updates. But I have been using a usb cable out of habit because it used to be so bad. Before the update though it would constantly disconnect even plugged in. Haven't noticed a disconnect at all though since the update. I do remember getting that continue button right after the update to set it up. I wonder if you connected with a usb to get past that setup part if it would work wirelessly after that. I'll have to try mine wireless now to see how its going.

Mine did that after an OTA a few months ago. But a day or two later it cleared up and worked dependably since.

I have had a continuous problem with my Mach E's ('21 FE AWD ER) Android Auto staying connected to my phone, I have a Samsung Galaxy 21, so still a relevant phone, I submitted a comment on the Android Auto App on Google Play and they advised the following:

"We recommend trying the troubleshooting steps on this FAQ thread here: https://goo.gle/36jpTXs to help with your experience. If the issue still persists, please visit our community for more help: https://goo.gle/2S6zkAg. Thanks!"

Here it is
[FAQ] Can’t connect or stay connected - How to diagnose/address the issue - Android Auto Community (google.com)

I followed the instructions which are to go into the App on your phone and clear the cache and storage. It worked for several days and then the new UI hit and I am having trouble again. I am going to repeat the process for Android Auto and then follow the rest of the instructions which has you clear Google Assistant ( I rarely use this) and Google Play Services. The rest ofr the article is all about plugging it in...

That is what always clears up issues for me. You can also do a full reinstall of AA on your phone as well.

I'm hoping that along with the UI update coming, Google improves connectivity issues.

Agreed about Google. Their new UI looks kinda cool, but the temp shows no data most of the time and other things seem half-baked.

I had a similar issue. I connected via USB and after it connected and started to work I unplugged the cable and it was fixed.

I continue to have problems with AA disconnecting - it pops in and out, whether I have it physically plugged in or not. It is pretty frustrating, but it does seem to help, albeit temporarily, to clear the cache and memory. It seems like if I get a notification it completely kick me out of AA, the black screen pops up and wants you to go to the phone menu to reselect AA... sometimes it comes back on it's own, sometimes not. I do listen to audible a lot and I am wondering that packs the memory of AA and causes the need to clear the cache at least once a week...

Has anyone had luck with a hard reboot of Synch? I will also try uninstalling / reinstalling AA on my phone.
