Wireless CarPlay Connectivity issues

I have had issues with connectivity between iPhones and this Mach-E since I bought it in '23. Today I was able to confirm that the sound issue is a ford issue. I have alerted apple to the issue of the CarPlay not connecting and they seem very interested. I have subsequently provided apple with videos and logs from my phone. I am hoping this leads to something as this issue has been ongoing for sometime. Anyone else have outright connectivity issues'? I can give you tips on how to get apples attention in a meaningful way and even help get a case moving.

I've had two CarPlay issues: CarPlay not connected and no volume when connected.
For not connecting, I've had luck with just trying to connect again from the phone list. Yesterday that didn't work after several tries so I rebooted the Sync system (hold volume down and skip forward buttons for a few seconds) and it connected right up.
For no volume, I normally disconnect CarPlay (from the phone list screen again) and then reconnect. That usually fixes it and brings back the volume.
I have not reached out to Ford or Apple yet.

I have had the no volume but connected to CarPlay issue. I have found that switching into drive quickly before SYNC can fully upload seems to cause the problem.
To be fair, my wife’s Toyota highlander has the same problem occasionally.

I have problems sporadically with CarPlay connecting like in your photo. And when it connects I can't hear the other person on the phone (either calling in or out). They can hear me but it could be through the phone microphone and not the cabin. There was a post here a couple months ago about a software update the dealer can do. I will have to find it.

My 24 MME is currently at Ford. I bought it with 2k miles on it. And it constantly has trouble connecting to CarPlay, Pandora,
Side view mirror keeps dropping down and the puddle lights hardly ever work. So we shall see.

I had bluetooth problems with my 2021 MME and just used the USB port for about a year. One day I got into my car and the problem was gone.
So it was either the phone updates or the Ford updates that clashed.
I have now put the wire in the glovebox until the problem comes back.

I have wireless CarPlay issues periodically, mostly the no volume variation. In those cases I shut the WiFi and hope the wired CarPlay takes hold.

That brings me to the second issue, I connect the usb-c cable to my phone and 30% of the time I see a message that usb connection could not be made. In those cases I restart the cord sync and my phone. And then cross my fingers.

Surprised how this occurs so often and neither Apple nor @Ford Motor Company are doing anything about it.

I have both these issues as well. I usually fix the no sound issues with a synch reboot

Same here. So infuriating that any old carb works flawlessly except piece of sh1t ford won’t do anything about it

I just had my MME in shop. -2024 is new to me and infrequent connection to car play. They said it was an update and a recall - It didn’t show I needed an update. Plus my puddle light didn’t go on again last nite … I hope it was just a fluke cuz car was in shop over wknd 6 days
