My Mach e stopped charging at home. My other more reliable ev charges great using the same chargers. I removed the home settings ets and the app just shows “ starting charger”. But nothing is happening. My local dealer here in Folsom is useless. They only like working on big gas trucks. i read a thread on another forum and others had this issue. Anyone have a fix? Very frustrating as I am about to take a trip. This is My first and last Ford for sure.

Have you checked (in the car) to make sure there aren't charging times set? In the app, can you stop and start charging? Possibly power cycle your charger (could unplug if it's not hardwired or turn the circuit breaker off - and let it sit for an hour).

That's all I can think of, I'm sure a few others here may have some more suggestions

Does it charge at any other location/charger?
If it wont charge anywhere, then it's a car issue.
If it does charge elsewhere, then you have a setting or failure in you home charger.

I had to set my home charger to only act as a dumb charger and set the charge times in the car. Before I did that the confusion in the software as to which schedule to use was too much.
It's work as expected since I simplified to only schedule from the car.

Thank you so much for the response. I have tried those things. Still the same. Going to take it on a trip and see if it fast charges

Note that DCFC and L2 charging have some significant differences. I'd try to find another L2 charger you could use.

What does "same chargers" mean? Are you charging at home? Using what charger?

What home charger are you using?

Will the car charge at another level 2 charger (not at home)? or Level 1? What about DCFC, have you plugged it into one of those, and will it charge there??

You might get some more helpful responses from the Community if you provide a little more info/details....

in ford pass, in the energy tab, what do you have for preferred charge times? I have 2 charge times, anytime weekdays and any time weekends. Also in fordpass target charge you should have a location possibly named home, and the address of your home under location, and a target level such as 90%

Also when you have it plugged in at home, does your FordPass app have the "Start" button at the top right? And if so, will it charge if you click that button? (That button will override the car's preferred charge time). I would also be curious what happens with the light ring in the charge port when you plug the cable into the car? The car needs to negotiate with the EVSE before it will start charging. And if there was an issue negotiating, the lights would change to red instead of blue. And as other people are asking about your EVSE (charger), if it's a "smart" one, it might have preferred times configured in it as well, but it's ideal to have the car make that decision, not the EVSE.

I would suggest disconnecting the 12v for a couple of minutes. I had the same issue a couple of years ago. I tried all the app deletes, in plugged the charger. Etc. but I found on here a thread that described this issue. The 12v did the trick. Never had an issue since.

Had the same issue. May I ask what is the brand of home charger you are using?
