Hi all, I just bought a used 2021 Ford Mach E Extd RWD. Dealer says it is already updated to the latest software version but it still has old UI and the center knob just controls the volume and no AC controls. (SYNC 4: 23095_Product; Revision: 807) Could anyone look up for me in FRDS if there are any updates available? VIN: WF0TK1E70MMA16555. It would be really helpful if anyone can check for me. Thank you.

The dealer lied to you.

I can tell you with certainty that if you are on Sync revision 807 that your car is ridiculously out of date, and it may actually require the replacement of hardware to fix the problem (depending on whether they can get the updates to succeed). It's possible you may need a new APIM.

Here in the US we are now prohibited from looking up VINs on vehicles that were not sold in the US. Ford Cyber Security will block accounts for people who attempt this. You need to find a forum member who's there in the Netherlands that can look this info up from your country.

I don’t understand why the car says that it is already on the latest. Could it be that the VIN is missing from the update database on the cloud? Is it something that I can do myself to get the OTA? I already did a reset on the infotainment screen. I like the car but it is making me nuts to see other 2021 MME with the new UI and functions.

Sell it and buy a newer one with newer software. That's what the previous owner apparently did.

There is absolutely nothing you can do to force an OTA. Being severely behind on updates can cause a car to no longer update via OTA, so it might take manual updating via FDRS and/or replacement of hardware in order to begin to receive OTAs again. As @Mike G said you are undoubtedly very far behind. 🤔🐩

The vehicle will always say it is up to date unless you have an active OTA trigger on the server for it. The reason you are on Sync 23095 and possibly not showing any more pending updates for the Sync modules is because Ford has purposely blocked certain vehicle on Sync 23187 and below like yours for now until they get their collective shit together and fix whatever the problem is. See attached SSM sent to all dealers about this issue.
