Active Shutter shield DIY for Mach-E Rally - GT

Should deflect small road debris, screen behind will stop bugs/leaves from entering radiator/condenser area. About 50 bucks in materials including screen (lowes gutter screen) & push pins to secure it. Photos show cardboard template, cut ABS grid, and screen (attached with small UV resistant zip ties). Push pins from Harbor Freight.

It doesn’t cause issues with the parking sensors, radar sensor, or the grille shutters opening?

So far no… I guess being non metallic and made of the same material as the sensor n

Oh, and no on the interference to shutter opening and closing, as it gapped about 1/4” from shutter assembly

Also, if you’ll note… I didn’t cover the two sensors with the metal screen for that purpose

Other than some tin snips, drill an bit, here’s the material items I used: The ABS grid from Amazon, the black wire mesh from Lowe’s (gutter guard), the push pin variety pack from Harbor Freight, and the small zip ties also from Lowes

And for the template, I used a piece of the cardboard from the sleeve type box the grid came in. Good luck!
