So one thing I've noticed since the OTA is that PAAK seems way more reliable now. My door is unlocking every time on the first push of the button. The car has been starting on the first try without giving me no key detected.

It also has been helping to keep my phone in my right pocket, instead of my left. I used to keep only my fob in my right pocket, and phone in left. Now that I don't need a fob, I can keep the phone in the right pocket. If I have the phone in the left pocket, it will occasionally still say no key detected and its just body interference I believe.
I don't have the update yet, but I found keeping my phone in the tray under the display worked the best for avoiding issues of it not detecting PaaK when starting.

Yeah, If my phone is in my left pocket, and I take it out, I just put it in the tray, and that works fine. But just having it in my right pocket has worked every time so far as well.

That's good to hear. I've only had mine for a day, but PaaK has been hit or miss just as others have described. The door and start codes work fine, so I wouldn't be worried about getting stranded, but if I have to take out my phone to get into the car or start it, I'd rather just use the fob.

When are we actually to be alowed to have this update? I'm not convinced it's ever coming, but for a select few.

Have patience. We'll get it when Ford decides it's ready for us. Doesn't sound like this one is very big anyway. I'm more interested in the "big one" that will be coming.

Ford is being too timid with these. I'm not sure what I was hoping for, but I got bad feeling that the updates will be few and far between. Hope I'm wrong.

Dude, Let the updates go through the beta testing. If they just released it to everyone, and it had issues, I guarantee you'd be right back on this forum complaining that the update broke something and Ford should have tested it better.

Trust me, This update isn't worth getting any quicker. I really think this was more of a test update to make sure the actual update process worked like they planned on. I'm sure it did make some changes, but they likely wanted to test the actual update mechanism, with real world scenarios.

Oh that’s not good. My left pocket is the phone pocket. Nothing else goes in that pocket. And everything else goes in the right pocket. I’m too old to switch something as fundamental as that.

He'd be complaining if the update fixed ALL THE problems because it meant he didn't have anything to complain about

So they did not tested it at post or reproduction and are using costumers to beta test for them? Who said Ford is not embracing the tech world.
Got the update today. No idea what it does though lol
Not knowing the versions of all your firmware prior as we are all running the same bld/revs it would be difficult to even speculate what may be running smoother. I was early no Kansas City but upgraded once with a recall and a 12V drain issue. Was upgraded the second time for no home charging and find it presents itself better on approach, paak is more functional (PAAAK phone almost as a key now), it remembers my audio position, a lot runs smoother. My charging schedule still does not work. If you do not use the function you may not even notice it was tweaked without a list from Ford. Guess a fancy reader and someone taking it before and after will let us know what happened to their vehicle. Should at least tick a revision number on the sync screen an easy standardization across the fleet. Just one fancy reader required at that stage to let everyone know.
