New MME owner here. I was wondering if what I saw is normal or not. While the car is parked in the garage overnight, I see the dashboard lights randomly turns on (I've also seen front/rear side marker lights turn on before) and there's loud knocking sounds. I have a camera in the garage so I was able to record it. Vimeo video link:

(Dash lights start at :06 sec, and knocking starts at :40 sec)

Car is locked, powered side mirrors auto folded in, no keys/phone in the car. Can't think of what would have partially "activated" the car. Thanks in advance for the inputs.

Yes, they all seem to be haunted.

Unsure why they'd be on, but that looks more like the "eye" sensors lighting up. They are generally only visible in camera (not to the eye). If it were the dash lights, the driver sensor "bar" would be lit up from the back.

That looks like the IR lights from the driver sensor and not the dashboard screen since it appears to "blink" on both sides and there is a dark spot in the middle top of the steering wheel. Cameras can see those but you wouldn't be able to if you were standing there.

Although it doesn't really answer your question of why it was happening. The charging might have just completed or your phone's Bluetooth might have connected, etc... or,

Yes, they all seem to be haunted.
Maybe your car got scared and turned on the driver sensor to see if you were there?

Greetings from reddit! I would think normal charging sounds, but as I don't have the car yet, I'm sure someone will know the answer.

They are like puppies: The slightest commotion and they wake up "Are we going walkies???"

I wonder if the car uses the IR sensors to light up the car occasionally to check for movement? Or maybe it just gets powered on when another function of the car runs? Maybe it was doing some battery conditioning and that process somehow powers on the IR bar.

I’m pretty sure the vehicle is possessed. You should lemon law it immediately before it does significant damage ???

I wonder if the Bluetooth connection to your phone is dropping and re-establishing and that wakes the car up.

The sounds are likely contactors as things 'wake up'.... and go back to sleep. Probably not possessed, but may be charging up your 12v battery from HV. Or, may have sensed your phone within range and woke up in case you were approaching for a drive.

If you have PAAK set up, and you want to let your MME 'sleep' better, try turning OFF your phone bluetooth.
