What tone settings do you have for allround typical top chart music?

I'll just be sticking with the native SiriusXM system, mostly because I like the ease of how it's laid out on the screen and for switching station presets. Using an app to stream is messier. (I like to switch stations a lot.)

Plus it'll work on road trips in dead cell zones.

Once I get the balance, tone, and surround settings right, I find it to be pretty good. The only problem now is getting those settings to stick.
My wife and I use Sirius radio almost exclusively (well I really stream a lot of music from my iPhone - Foreigner mainly). Susan likes the Fox News Channel which I try to listen to but it puts me to sleep. My question is we can listen to Sirius radio in the native mode on the interface but I have found things work better in Apple Car Play (my pairing doesn't drop so my music plays better in Wi-Fi and the phone pairs with the car better for the telephone/directories). My question is about Sirius radio and Car Play, how do you listen to Sirius radio through Apple Carplay ? I downloaded the Sirius XM app from the App Store and have it on my iPhone so it shows on the screen in the car too. When I click that app it will list my favorite Sirius channels on the Mach E screen but won't play them when I click each one when in the channels part of app. How do I get Sirius to play in Car Play or do I have to play it through the native app included with the Mach E.

Use the SiriusXM app on your iPhone. It will show up in CarPlay. Note: the CarPlay version of the SiriusXM app is awful.

To me, it sounds best when it's put into surround mode with the bass turned up a bit, as it seems to have a great more depth in that mode. I personally think it sounds good, mostly XM radio Listening here.
Yes. Definitely set to surround mode.

Thanks, I figured that and finally got it to work. How so it's awful? Music distorted? Maybe we'll just have to play it in the native mode in the car.

No, not the audio. The UI of the CarPlay version of the SiriusXM app. It’s nothing like the iPhone version. It looks like an 8 year old’s first attempt at writing something in swift.

Does anyone here have Apple Music / can try enabling the lossless quality? I'm curious if that sounds better, and if that sounds better plugged in vs wireless CarPlay.

one day I too can experiment with audio on a Mach E :p

Apple only supports lossless audio in CarPlay through a USB connection not wireless. To me Apple Music sounds better than Spotify so that is what I use. I have not tried Tidal yet and not sure if I will as I am satisfied with what I have now.

Had to mess around to make it sound good.

Treble +1
Mid +3
Bass +Max

The key was to mess with the focus dot and get ti to just exactly nestle between the two front Headrests.

Sounds pretty good. Not quite the Etron B&O but close.

That's about where I'm at too. Bass at Max and the others up slightly. But I found the biggest impact came from moving that Balance/Fade dot toward the back about 4-5 clicks. The front speakers are too close and directly aimed at people's heads in the front seat relative to the rear speakers, so I really don't even hear the back speakers without moving the Fade most of the way to the back. That seems to produce more bass.

I'm quite happy with it once adjusted (even from SXM). But I'm no huge audiophile.

Ok, here are my settings.

Treble +4
Midrange +2
Bass +3 (this is actually mid bass as there is no low bass in this car)
Fader 2 clicks towards rear

As everyone will agree, adjustments like this are specific to the make up of the interior of the car and the individuals hearing. I have sound deadened the entire car and have a Tasmanian glass roof sunshade so the interior is more dead sounding than a stock Mach-E. I also added a real subwoofer and amp under the cargo floor to make up for the non-existent low end bass. Adding a decent subwoofer and amp to Mach-E

Overall I think the sound is decent. Not great and not poor but that is my opinion. Wasn't going to spend a ton of money on the audio system since I am only going to have the car until the end of the year.

Moving the balance slightly back (2 clicks) helped a bit along with upping the other settings a bit. I am now medium impressed.

Also, why can’t I increase the sound further when playing through CarPlay? Normal radio can go way louder sound wise (not volume wise) than CarPlay. Anybody? Same goes for phone conversations through CarPlay, it’s pretty hard to hear people at higher speeds because the sound is so low.
Try increasing the volume using your phone, too.

I don't have the car yet but with the tech and full sized screen, etc., It's a little surprising they don't have a full EQ setting in there. seems like an OTA could add that but I doubt they will if it's not there now.

You have mid bass and treble settings, like most cars. I really like the B and O sound system when streamed from my Tidal app in full fidelity.
