Had the final resolution for the Bolt recall applied today. As part of the resolution they ran diagnostics on every cell in the battery. Four years, 46,000 miles and every cell tested within normal specification, as expected. No cell degradation or problems identified. Love my Mach E, but still don't regret anything about the Bolt purchase either.
Thanks for that. Haven't heard anything about a final resolution from Chevy yet. Will check out.

Agreed on the Bolt. It's a really solid car. Chevy just had a silly MSRP and then took $7k-10k off the price consistently. Had they not done that, I imagine a lot more people would have checked out the car.

That, and the fact that it's a lot more spacious on the inside than you would imagine looking at it from the outside.

Unfortunately, the Bolt and the Leaf battle for dorkiest design award. They both make a Prius look stylish ?

Yeah, the Bolt is pretty fugly.

I don't mind the gen2 Leaf design. The gen1 Leaf might be the ugliest car ever made though. :)

I've been driving a 2019 Bolt for about 1.5 years. Great beginner EV. Bad family car. Uncomfortable on long trips. Great for big city parking. Needs a facelift.

I don’t know about that. Not a fan of the rear disco wings on the latest version. And don’t even start me on the curved prime rear hatch window. My only complaint about the Bolt aesthetics was the plain front didn’t match the more interesting back end. Completely agree with others on how surprisingly open and spacious it is on the inside.

I didn't go for the initial recall since limiting my charging level didn't seem like a necessary fix for a very rare problem. I did take it in a few days before I traded it in for the actual real fix, just in case an open recall affected the value, and to be fair to whoever wound up buying it from the dealer. Took them a day and a half to do it, no one was really familiar with the procedure.

I loved my Bolt, but once I sat in a Mach-E, it made me realize how chintzy the Bolt interior was, and how I had sacrificed comfort and class to own an EV at a price point that would normally result in better materials. It was fun to drive, I do miss the maneuverability compared to the Mach-E, which just seems a bit lumbering in comparison (in comparison to the Bolt, not that it's a lumbering car in general). But the Mach-E overall just looks and feels like a totally different generation.

Would still recommend the Bolt now that it's dropped in price, and it would be a no-brainer if they give Chevys the tax credit again.

And even better if GM gave the Bolt a real refresh.

Yeah, the 2022 already looks dated compared to what Ford, Kia, and Hyundai are putting out. They seem more focused on keeping the price low than an actual refresh ... which, honestly, is fine if it gets more people in more affordable EVs.

Taking my 2017 Bolt in today for the final battery check/fix. I have 95K miles on it already.

I turned my Bolt in early (3 months early) when I picked up the Mach-E. It was a fun little car.

I only had the initial recall done on it--by law the dealers have to perform all recalls prior to selling the car.

The styling is what kept the Bolt out of the running for me. I think the EUV looks better, and was actually considering one before the MME popped up on my radar.

I just got home from a 198 mile round trip with my Bolt today and that little bugger averaged 3.7 miles /kWh on the trip with hills and traffic in the Columbia River Gorge.

Got to do something while I wait for my MME to get built.
