The point was, if you score your pushes by how close you were to the planned release date instead of the bug count, you will have more bugs.

It’s the difference between measuring success based on on time departures versus of safe arrivals.
Yeah well unfortunately Ford has bought into Agile big time so everything is now in two week sprints.

Even if we're not getting two week OTA's LOL.

They even used Agile processes to develop the Maverick!

Poor souls.

The other change I noticed is under "My Journeys" and then EV Data. Before this said coming soon but now just shows I haven't taken any trips yet.

This has been changed since previous version. But it has been showing nothing for over 6 months. Don't know why it is so difficult for them to implement it, give the Fusion Energi app already supported it for years.

I don't have the "Departure Time" button - only the "Vehicle Status" button.

Not that it matters, since the "Departure Time" button evidently only takes you the Manage Charging - Departure Times screen? So they added a button, to save us one additional tap, for a feature many don't currently use?

Not that any of the above matters because I can't push any schedule changes from the app to the car.

I don't want to sound too negative, but damn. Every new release I just shake my head at the stuff that remains broken, and the "improvements" the team has been devoting their time to. It's starting to feel like gaslighting at this point. And I know it isn't gaslighting, but such is the level of ineptitude.

It's on the App Store now as I type this:

‎FordPass on the App Store (apple.com)

It's not quite live on the Play Store yet:

FordPass - Apps on Google Play

Release notes from the Apple listing:

What's New - 3.24.0
• Now find schedule remote start, departure times and vehicle status alerts at the top of your vehicle page
• Continuous quality improvements under the hood of the app
Keep the feedback coming!
I'm on Android so I can't easily show screenshots of these changes yet but I'm sure someone else will get there since apparently the Vehicle page has changed.

About two weeks since the last release - I'm fine with a 2 week cadence tbh.
WHAT??? Android can't do screenshots? iOS has had that for years. ?
(yes this is a snarky inside comment at an android user that gave iOS crap last week for stuff Android has had forever)

Actually they both copied this from Xerox. Oh wait. Nevermind.

Same on mine. It says no previous trip events to view. Wish I understood it better.

@timbop, @hybrid2bev, @Kamuelaflyer, @dml105 - I realize this is a little off topic, but I'm genuinely curious: how much more time are you willing to give Ford to produce an OTA update with discernable bug fixes or enhancements? Another quarter? 6 months? A year? "As long as it takes to get it right"?

I'm not calling you guys out specifically, btw, you're just the four in this thread who have so far come to Ford's defense. And this is not a loaded question. I'm genuinely curious to know whether you have any expected timeframe beyond which would would start to get fed up.

I want Ford to forego this software industry trend and push the patches when the bug list gets to zero, not because patches have been scheduled.
Unless you are talking about a "hello world" type of application, that is not achievable

As a former software designer then you should recognize that the bug list will never ever get to zero.

I would think the first OTA where we see any customer facing changes would be in the BlueCruise update timeframe (purely my personal guess is Aug/Sept 2021).

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we had an update in the late June early July timeframe before the BlueCruise update in Q3. But I wouldn't be surprised if there is no update between now and BlueCruise. Now, if we got into October without any pending release notice or any update then I'd be like WTF.

Two week for the app but months and months for any vehicle update…. Which is not what was promised by Ford
