The charge percentage was there and you must have missed it. There is a setting to turn auto updates off. That way you can wait for beta testers reports. I would like a download to usb stick option check SHA and do the upgrade that way. I do not update MB Bios (uefi) through windows. Bricking one motherboard gets you a bit gun shy. Bricking my mustang would be disheartening. I have auto updates enable now till the dust settles but as soon as my list is working it will most likely be toggled off.
I'm probably a bit of a control freak, so yeah I too would like the ability to update through USB. But, if the Mustang gets bricked while updating via USB, Ford may well say you're SOL lol.

Nope updated yesterday at 4:02 PM when I powered it off. The double pull down could be similar to a restart? As noted I have seen 5 days no communication from vehicle to app. Makes the check mark confusing as to its meaning. Cars appear to be acting differently at this stage and that could be due to different software/firmware combination. I am in for a module swap soon so you need to take that into account. I will note it started after a fordpass update. It installed with a notice it was removed and would be better in the future. Maybe a geographical thing?
Retracted I retried with bluetooth connected and the twice pull down refreshed. You the man @Jimrpa thanks. I am getting over the 12V in February it is fixed! However I still pulled the cover off it to give it a hug after 5 days. It appears do it twice works for many things right now which is good. Once to wake it up and once to do what you ask.

Funny it was 58% when I put it to bed and after 5 days it is at 59%. Hoping that is not accounting for degradation ;).

I scanned through the last few pages here, and see that quite a few of you are not happy with Ford's lack of constant OTA. After owning a Tesla for nearly 3yrs, all I have to see is be careful what you wish for. Many Tesla updates brought new bugs and/or unwanted stuff. OTA is a double edged sword. I was absolutely PO'ed at Tesla with their "holiday" OTA update back in January, in which the UI was changed to a jumbled mess. I purposely disconnected the car from wifi, but Tesla shoved it down my throat and pushed it over LTE. Some things were never fixed in those 3yrs, like the "rain sensing" wipers, which I suspect can never be fixed because it lacks a dedicated infrared rain sensor.
I don’t think anyone here is clamoring for trivial enhancements like a Holiday Skin that could bring their own bugs. We’re clamoring for an OTA update to fix simple bugs like settings not sticking that have been around for months now. Some additional functionality would be nice, too, but there really isn’t an excuse at this point for not fixing these bugs. Maybe this promised June OTA update with actual bug fixes will materialize. We will see.

Regarding the false triggering of the rain-sensing wipers, the Mach E has that problem, too. For whatever reason, it is typically triggered by intense sunlight and heat on the windshield. Mine would always trigger upon turning the car on after parking outside in the sun for more than 30mins. For Ford, the solution is just to turn the rain sensing feature off with one click of the wiper control stalk. In inclement weather, you just turn the rain-sensing function back on. I’m guessing Tesla’s more minimal design makes this a bit more inconvenient.

With the new app version, anyone else have a recall alert in the top left corner of the main page, but when you click on it it just constantly spins loading?

Looks like, for me, this version turns my phone into a nice handwarmer for a few hours at least--until the battery dies (or I kill Ford Pass whichever comes first).

Yep. Seems to be trying to load the PaaK CSP software update message, but never does. Spinning forever... maybe it will load the message when we get 3.25.0, lol.

Yes, I posted about this yesterday, back here: #62

However, the bickering about the effectiveness of the OTA overwhelmed my post.

Anyway, I found that this morning the never-ending swirling loading circle was gone, and I can now see the recall as the latest PAAK S/W update that must be done at a Dealer. I called my dealer Service Department for an appointment, and they will call me back after they hunt and see if they have the software to perform the update.

OK, but still, no specific cadence was ever promised is the point I'm trying to make. 'Constant updates' and 'coming soon' is not saying expect updates in terms of weeks.

We've seen 2 OTA updates sent out already. I got my car at the end of January 2021, I got an OTA update in March and another in April.
How do you know you got the updates?

Some of you really want to play with your lives and get a machine that can kill you updated frequently?
