I’m grumpy because my custom license plates might get here *after* my GT-PE. i finally found a phone number so I could talk to the stupid California DMV. They told me that plates are taking 4-6 months instead of the 4-8 weeks their web site states. I guess there’s a chip shortage for the license plates too. Or maybe a paint shortage? ?

Get off my lawn you pesky kids!
ohh wow, good to know. I ordered some last month and thought I would have to place-hold them on another car, but now sounds like maybe i won't

that's insane. I have a VIN and a prod date assigned for 10/11, and only ordered 7/8/21. I'm not sure where you are, but i know a lot of the cars are heading to CA since we already lead in EV adoption. Sorry if that's the case, because we really need other states to get onboard as well
Yes, that is the case. My dealer forwarded an email from Ford that said 50% of all MME allocation is going to ZEV states. CA is one of about 10 ZEV states. All the other states get the remaining 50%. My state is not a ZEV state, so this is not good news for me. As I wait. And wait.

Maybe that’s why allocation seems better for some people? They are in one of those states with higher allocation?

I’m in CA but given that I have seen posts that indicate some people who ordered after me got production dates before mine, I guess Ford‘s algorithm for prioritizing is, uh, complicated.

I'm joining the grumpy club today.. seeing all of these GTs being delivered weeks early and my delivery window was 8/22-8/28.. and no word today, no inkling it's arriving today, tracking says my car shipped back on 8/2.. Palsapp shows null (earlier this week it had the dealership and city on it but then it reverted back to null) and "picked". Just confused and I hate the lack of communication in this process. Anyone else from Minnesota get a GT/GTPE and have shipping updates?

Our very first estimated delivery date was today (8/28). Then we had an updated delivery date between 10/23 to 10/31. This week our date was deleted and we are now very sad (and admittedly frustrated). Been “in transit” since mid-July, but pretty sure it’s still at the plant. Has this happened to anyone else?

(Premium AWD ExtRange. Rapid Red Light Grey interior. Ordered 5/4.)

We are being flooded by Illegals and Californians who are escaping.

Called Ford yesterday and it's yet to be built.......Getting frustrated !

Same here. Built week of July 4 and has been sitting and waiting for a chip. I called Ford and asked about the six week delay. I wanted to know if it started from the scheduled production week or when the email was sent. They told me the six week delay started from the date the email was sent out so who knows when it will arrive.

Well, I guess the 6 week delay won’t affect me as much as I thought if the delay started at the time of the email’s departure from Ford. My scheduled production week is still 4+ weeks into the future. The way I interpreted the email was that it was a delay to the scheduled delivery date.

So, still grumpy about having to wait (gimme gimme gimme!!! ?). Probably grumpier still about my license plates probably arriving after I get my MME.

Get off my lawn you pesky kids!

I have almost the same car on order (Premium RWD standard batt, Rapid Red, Grey interior. Ordered 5/3). I had the 10/31 delivery date and it just changed this week to N/A. So we are in the same boat.

Is MSC CRISTIANA broken or is crew on holiday?
Yeah... I've been watching her too since she began her voyage in Savona/Italy, on 7-21.

Since then, she acquired delay after delay after delay .

Currently, she seems to be PASSED, in the port of Altamira/Mexico, by the NEXT Grimaldi car carrier, Grande Florida.

MSC Cristiana must be a really tired old girl.
