That’s a good question, cause the IRS form, all it needs is a VIN. So can you technically apply for the credit without the car being fully delivered?

Well, technically, you will need to have paid for it too (or at least have a signed and dated sales contract).

I ordered 5 months ago this week and not a word !

It probably only FEELS like 5 months ago. According to your tracking you ordered on 6/4/21 (and 8/21/21?); that is 3 months ago!

I ordered 5/10 and received my build date of 10/11 a week or so ago. You should be getting a date in the next week, I imagine.

Be prepared to pull the information from Ford's web site. They're most likely not going to email you your build week.

No, not legally. Car needs to have been 'placed into service' (used) within the tax year for which the credit is claimed.

Ordered and order confirmed for Premium AWD Iconic Silver March 17. June 24 received email confirming production date of week August 16. Then on August 16 received another email that delivery date will be pushed back a minimum of 6 weeks. We talked to our dealer this weekend and they said it's been built, but waiting for parts and that there is no delivery date specified. about a week ago the tracking system showed delivery date of October 27 but now it has N/A. If it is delivered Oct 27 it means we waited about 7.5 months.

Same. My car is slowly trying to give out and I got an email from gal saying they can deliver a model 3 standard in a few weeks

Haha wasn’t that bold. My wife has a car I can use if I actually need to go anywhere. Lindsay VW gave me 6k more than Carfax said my car was worth 4 months ago so I figured strike while the chips are still short

Same situation with me. Carvana is offering 6k more. We are retired. can i share ,, may help get me over range anxiety as I keep my car on full (range 750 mile) and he drives his car til there are fumes, altough he has never run out of gas. Would at least like a build date.......
