Yeah, it would be nice if it switched to the front though when you went to drive and kept it on until you hit 10mph with the pano cam.
It does come on at low speeds if the sensors detect anything close to the vehicle. So it almost works that way. Just doesn't kick on until it thinks you might need to see something.

Yeah, just never works with curb stops for me, and I have to get crazy close to a wall or something. I really like it for curb stops, to be safe, and for parallel parking, both between cars and if I'm at the front of the pack of cars to make sure I'm still on the curb and not inching into a driveway or red zone, etc.

My last vehicle, Ford Edge, didn't come on by sensors, but did have a hardware button that would bring up the cameras. It was pretty nice to have that.

I'd love to be able to have customizable shortcut buttons along the top of the screen with the profile button for stuff like the cameras and hatch/frunk release.

Enjoyed SXM alerts finally working correctly today ?

Too bad 1.7.1 didn't give an option for the 360 cameras to activate automatically at low speed to assist parking. Otherwise known as "work correctly" or "the way Toyotas have worked for years now" ;)

I would gladly sacrifice notes, games, securilert, & journeys for this function. ?
But then it would come on like all the time, wouldn't it? Like in stop and go traffic or just creeping at a stop light...

I second this. We have a ton of blank space around our Profile picture at the top of the screen, let us drag some shortcuts up there!

I see you just join the forum Friday, was it just to hate on the Mach E? We've had our since March, and we've thoroughly enjoyed the ride quirks and all!
I love the car… I hate the garbage software. Took delivery in July and have just under 4K miles on it. Love the build quality and driving experience but resetting my radio presets every week is getting old.

correct, but with a few years of experience with the Lexus system i can say it is far less annoying to have it come on at traffic lights than to have the capability and it not automatically deploy when needed most.

I would settle for a happy medium, just having a shortcut button at the top of the display menu (or a damn hard button that replaces the slow auto park function!).

yep, a persistent one tap button would be significantly better than the way it works now.

Back on topic: got the update today. No notification yet in the car (just says "up to date"), or in FordPass, but I have the notes app, touchscreen beep is gone, non-functioning frunk button is under "Access" (not in FordPass), CarPlay directions (doesn't work with Google Maps).

2 things I thought were coming but not on my car:
1) Dash power meter for breaking/accel power use + any limiting that might be happening
2) Portrait car play - when expanding "main app", dead space taken up by the CarPlay UI.

Sync version is now 21174 revision 168 instead of 20312 rev 243

This update was for SYNC. The next planned Power-Up is for the instrument cluster.

The newer builds and GTs have this. Im guessing it will come with the Blue Cruise update.

I have got to say the 1.7.1 is quite an improvement. The system is much more responsive and has no Android Auto issues.

So I think I seem to be stuck in some weird limbo with this update. After seeing people post the other day that it appears this OTA was more widely released I checked my home router logs to see if anything was recently downloaded and noticed that the MME did in fact download about 2 GB over two sessions (part when I came home from work two days ago and part yesterday morning).

Ford Mustang Mach-E [OTA] 1.7.1 Appears to be incoming received_277728824226539

When I went into the updates screen in the car it said that I was up to date and listed 1.7.1, despite the fact that I never received a notification that I got an OTA (as I did with 1.4 and 1.6). Ok cool, whatever. But when I go to look for the notes app or any other new feature from 1.7.1, it's not there... and the automatic updates option is disabled now in the settings page and I can't toggle it on. I'll give it a few more days I guess, but I'm slightly concerned that it's stuck now.

I have this problem sometimes and I figured out that if i switch to the guest profile and then back to my profile my presets come back.

Are you in the early access program? Have you reported this to them?
