Ok sounds good! I called ford corporate and opened a investigation case for this fix. I am supposed to get an update tomorrow and I would be happy to talk to the engineers and let them know about TSB 21-2245. I'll also forward them my experience to where I believe when things started going bad. I think I may have mentioned originally that I did a road trip from LA to Chicago and as I was approaching Denver that's when the car shut off on me for 10 minutes. And some time before that road trip the maintenance light came on but eventually went away. The maintenance light says "powertrain check"

But I'll keep you posted as well if I hear anything new. It's been 7 weeks now since last seen my mach - e and already made two car payments without seeing her

Update! So I've been told that the hybrid module is what had gone bad. They said it's a "breakthrough" and may not necessarily mean it's the root of the problem..crossing fingers that it is the problem and that it will be fixed. They expect the module delivery and fix be done on October 6th!

Update: so it's been 12 weeks since I last seen my mach-e before towed away to the dealership. So it took forever for dealership to receive the module part. Now I just learned that they need to order a tool that will install the module. The "tool" would arrive "november 10th." Are you f'n kidding me???? Do I seriously have to wait this much longer??? My Patience and sanity has left the window for me! Let's put a perspective here... my mach-e's first problems began late June. Late June! Took her to dealership where they cpr the battery. That took 16 days. Then I began my drive back to California and got stranded in denver. They installed new 12v battery within a couple of days, but had to wait for the weekend to fly back to Denver. I drive her back. The moment I arrive and unload my stuff, it bricks! This was late July!! Has anyone else ever experience something like this??? Yes, I get it! It's a first year model and it's going to have faults, major ones if any. But for Pete's sake! The way both the dealership and Ford corporate are handling this is becoming outrageous!! Seriously though, after hearing this update from the investigator, I'm mentally drained and woke up my depression. Please, let me yall know your thoughts. Cheers

have you looked into the lemon law of your state? In most states you can ask for a replacement car or buyback if the problem is not fixed within 30 days. You can consult with a lemon law attorney.

I was looking in to lemon law and was seriously considering it. However, the nerdy side of me says that I should stomach it and let them finish it because after all it is a first edition mach-e. So if there is any further delays that would reach to Christmas time, I will begin proceedings for lemon law and see what my options are. This whole though I have been continuously making payments to the car. I was just finishing reading another thread and they got reimbursed for car payments. That is something km going to inquire, not to mention seeking reimbursement for my flights from and to Denver.

Definitely lemon law it, and try to get full reimbursement. Maybe order a 2022 and hopefully they got their stuff together by then.

I would order at this point the GT Performance.

To add, I was able to speak with the engineers and they were doing a thorough check on other faults, hence why it's taking them this long. Not gonna hold my breath. If this does get fixed and breaks down within a year, then yeah time to lemon law it.

For those that are still following, or reading this thread for first time, I am happy to report, after 7 months, yes you read that right, my Mach-e battery problems has been solved and fixed! Now explaining the reason for the super long wait, I can honestly say I don't know why. I don't know who's to blame for the super long wait. Could have been the dealership's lack of communication or resource, who knows! But I was able to receive help internally and got the full attention of Ford executives and they got a team of engineers working on my car specifically. A lot of eyes were on it!

I received my work order and it looked like they did more than originally told! I'm going to open up a new forum soon along with a YouTube video explaining the journey, the repairs, what's been done, and why after all that, I would still buy a Mach-e. Keep in mind, my Mach-E is a first edition early build Dec 2020. Anyone built before Feb 2021 are prone to more defects. Unfortunately mine had quite of bit, but they are all taken care of!

And, yes, I am getting reimbursed for my car payments and car rentals. Again, this will all be talked about in a future forum and upcoming YouTube video as I put together a new channel dedicating to my mach-e and road tripping with it. Cheers everyone! Feel free to ask questions and leave comments. One more thing, I know some of you would say "you should have done lemon law it" I would have at one point, but at that point, Mach-es are getting markups, and not to mention my model is a first edition. I stuck with my guns and held on until it was finished. At the end, I'm getting some car payments back!

I'm having the exact same issue right now and mine is at the dealership and its been 2 months now. I'm using a rental that Ford provided me. But still no ETA on the repair. Please let us know how your process went!!

I really hope it won't take you as long as mine. What I ended up doing was getting in touch with Ford customer relations number and open an investigation in to your repairs and hope they can expedite the repairs. I kept in close contact with Ford engineers with the repairs and I asked them to please spread the word should anyone else have the same problem and hope they will know how to fix it sooner rather than later. Keep me posted!
