Damn, @Plutoman15 should be more pissed than you. You guys should both be pissed that mine is only about 2 weeks out. ??
HA! Mine was 4 days out and then like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown, it became a month out. Screw the whiny excuse of supply chain shortages, implement a FIFO queue and do the right thing, but that is not in Ford's DNA.

I will be a bit less grumpy when Dave takes his bat to you and you post pictures of your long-awaited car though.

One could have hoped that these challenges would make the car companies and dealers become advocates for their customers, begin communicating, and making the people handing over nearly $70K feel like they have someone working for them. Instead, the people who run the car companies (note I did not say leadership as there isn't any) have taken the approach of screw these people, what else can they do. I really do hope that this makes people think long and hard about ever doing business with Ford. Keep your existing car on the road a few more years. Look at the model that Tesla has implemented and companies like Carvana where the bullshit level is lower. Now, admittedly the Tesla reality distortion field is very strong, but Musk realized early on that the conventional model doesn't work for the customer. It may take a seismic dislocation like we are experiencing to force the needed change.
Agreed. My experience is why I probably won’t buy an F150 Lightning even though I want one badly. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that no other manufacturer is going to be any better. Maybe I will wait 6-8 years so that the BEVs are more plentiful and buy one off the floor so that I don’t have to deal with the ordering process. Ah, but then I won’t get what I want. Gr-rrr! ???

I really think it should make you more grumpy since you reserved before me, but I am happy that it will make you less so. I’m conflicted here. ?‍♂??

My understanding is that dealers are not making anything off the MMEs maybe that's why their communication sucks. That's what the salesman told us when we ordered ours but I bet the salesman will get a nice commission for doing nothing.
Back to the palsapp, do you see palsaap with your updated information? I ask because I've read in other columns that sometimes they've received their car and palsapp still shows "pending"
Palsapp says delivered to the Argentine ramp on the 21st and has not changed since then. Meanwhile, Farley is posting tweets of him golfing rather than working to fix the supply and logistics shithouse he has built. Never heard of a CEO who doesn't care like this one.

Rivian is your friend. If enough people buy them, perhaps the market will force changes at Ford.

I can’t see myself buying a brand new car ever again. This is the first time and possibly the last.
Tesla is a non-starter for me. They don’t look good and their handling is sub-par.

My next truck, is currently getting “built” now, but it’s an LS swap 77 Scout Traveler. The problems I’m having there are similar, supply issues. So, while I have a lot of the parts needed. Some important ones, like fuel tank and motor mounts, are on back order. :( so I just sit on my hands and wait.

I thought I would post on here that maybe one of the biggest reasons for those that ordered earlier vs some of those who ordered later getting their vehicles deals with the recall on the panoramic roof. 100% of vehicles produced from February 24, 2020 to June 18th, 2021. Over 13k (13,544 to be exact) Its also a $21,000 fine per vehicle if they sell them or even let someone test drive them until the service recall is performed. See pics below.

<snark>I kinda feel like if this was Tesla they would try to issue an OTA update to try and fix it. So they could avoid a recall.</snark>

I would have had a Rivian destined for my garage if the one I wanted didn't MSRP at 90k+. My limit on what I wanted to spend was 70k. I can afford the Rivian, but I just didn't want to, you know?

An old boss of mine spent 8 1/2 years in prison for something he still swears he didn't do. When got out I asked him how he wasn't bitter. He told me that he saw what that did to people and it ate their soul like a cancer. They would be generally happy when someone got parole or released even if they didn't. While nowhere as bad as that, it's got it's parallels watching others in the Ford logistics prison get their cars. I'll be happy for you, and that ride you promised your mom too!

mine says expected delivery between 14th and 20th. Is it reasonable based on the fact that it is on Argentine Ramp on 23rd.

I am in SFO.

When did you last check this? Mine hit the Argentine Ramp on 10/21, had a delivery date here in Denver of 11/4-11 until yesterday afternoon. Now a December delivery.
