Just got an email from my dealer "It just got off the train at BIG Lift. Now it has to wait for a transporter to bring it here. Hopefully later next week??"

I'm in Littleton, the dealer is in Littleton and now the car is in Littleton. Feeling a bit less grumpy. Now, it's a race between me and Dave!
I Hope mine was on the same train as yours from KC. What date did palsapp show that it had been moved to Argentine Ramp for you?

Palsapp says delivered to Argentine ramp on 10/21

Bummer for me. Mine was delivered to Argentine Ramp on Nov. 1. Guess I can go back to grumping.
One never knows. There seems to be a huge amount of random action going on with Ford lately.

Ok sleuths, help me out here. Built 8/27, shipped 10/9, nothing on palsapp. ETA is 11/16-11/22. Not sure if the window sticker we can see is helpful, but mine says "rail" and "ramp 1" is RH32. I contacted the dealer and the all the VVR says is "shipped convoy" and gives a convoy number. So, what does it all mean????

The rail/ramp 1 and RH32 is the same on my window sticker. I assume that simply means they're using their regular rail shipping method from Mexico. Palsapp is the trucking company that moves the cars from the train that comes in from Mexico onto the train that makes its way towards your destination. Unfortunately, if there's nothing in palsapp, then your car is still in Mexico and not scheduled for shipment anytime soon. You could possibly check if its on a chip hold, but the website changed and I don't know the link anymore.

I did some more searching and CONVOY appears to mean it is on a truck. Perhaps it took a rail to KC and got loaded on a truck without Jack Cooper Trucking moving it around??? I am trusting that the Bandit is making a high speed run to NC with my GT!

That may be true for many, but my car registered as shipped on 9/28 and showed no change on palsapp until the day before it was delivered to the dealer on 11/5. So there was over a month of maddening silence, but it would have been on a train and moving during that period. In fact, the 35-day transit time suggested in the tracker turned out to be quite accurate. Of course, it also said it’s ETA was 10/15 the whole time, so there was no reason to trust any of it until after the fact. ?

I reckon it was delivered pretty quickly once it was on palsapp because I’m in St. Louis. It would have gone directly from KC to STL on that truck, rather than moving to another train.

That's not surprising to me. The data we're able to see by digging up random trackers on the Internet and not having any real communication from Ford is pretty unreliable. There have been other cases I've read of palsapp stuff just being outright wrong. Mine personally said nothing up until it was offloaded in KC on the 8th of Oct and then never changed again.

Right. The only thing we can all rely on equally is that there’s no information we can rely on.

That said, I do suspect there are a finite number of “paths” these things take through the system. It might be 100, it might be just five, but systems—even clunky, error-prone, opaque ones are seldom truly random. I personally really appreciated seeing people’s experiences at every step, because stories that looked like mine suggested what the path ahead looked like. Even little glimmers of hope keep the grump at bay.

Of course, once you’re out of the realm of systems and tracking, and into the realm of random chunks of steel chipping your GT’s teeth in transit… that’s where you just start looking for a sneering Zeus above you.

Was talking to someone at work who was trying to get new tires for their car (not an MME) and their mechanic said there'd be a massive wait because supply chain issues. So now I'm wondering if I'm not actually on a chip hold but instead my car is sitting up on cinderblocks in Mexico :( my poor baby

I mean, to be fair.... I've seen my own fair share of cars on cinderblocks in NY too
