Got me be today, I won't know the difference until I get the car back from having the recall done tomorrow.

Ok, I know I’m going to sound crazy, but after I received the update (which happened while I was in a store for 20 minutes) the car definitely felt like it accelerated “harder”. Like I was getting thrown back into the seat even more than usual. This was all in unbridled mode, never changed it out.

I know this isn’t what happened and is likely placebo effect, but at the same time, Ford has proven they can be so all over the place with/at software that something in this minor update could have changed acceleration lol

Also, Safari seems snappier.

Placebo effect -- the 2.1 update, we are told, ONLY updates the gateway module. This is the module used to handle OTA updates for all the other modules. Basically they are improving their ability to delivery OTA updates. There would be no noticeable differences to the car after the update.

We had an evening out tonight, and drove about 15 minutes on the way to our destination. We spendt a little over 100 minutes at the event, then got back in the car and went to pick up dinner. As we sat in the drive-thru, we noticed the update icon on the display and then confirmed the 2.1.0 update had successfully been installed. We're in the Early Access program, although no idea if that made any difference.

When we got home, we checked using the info in the other thread to see what our OTA status was and confirmed ....

otaAlertStatus: "UPDATE SUCCESSFUL" ?

Seems like they really are doing early access cars first finally. Congrats to all those early enough and lucky enough to be in it! Hopefully that’s a good sign you guys will also get bluecruise first!

You guys are all lucky. My car is still stuck in limbo with Sync Version "--" between 1.6 and 1.7.1 forever, lol.

I am in the early access program but usually it takes weeks for me to get updates. I did apply CSP 21P22 late last month.

I wonder if this is the update to fix the updater that is mentioned. Maybe the engineer got the version number wrong since it is usually determined by the marketing folks. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...have-issue-updating.10071/page-19#post-293124

PS: When the update is done I can scan my car and see what modules were updated. I did notice ABS and DSP updates in FDRS recently.
As expected this is a GWM (Gateway Module) update. The gateway module is your network switch that also controls OTA updates. It is what physically updates the other modules in the vehicle. Likely they are getting it ready for the next OTAs upcoming.

Note: This seems to only apply to pre-June 18 build cars.

That matches the description of the update 2.0.1 listed in the post https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...have-issue-updating.10071/page-19#post-293124 that @Eric_C_Boston mentioned earlier.
Edit: Glad everything is lining up with what I originally found out... Sorta. Looks like there was a typo somewhere. The Ford rep told me that this update would be 2.0.1, not 2.1.0, unless one of us was being dyslexic, lol.

They also promised that the patch notes would get better, but.. old habits die hard :)

As a previous poster noted, the version numbering system seems to be completely arbitrary.

hi,

where can I check the latest version that I have?

cheers
I'm wondering too. When I check System Updates > Update Details, all it says is "Your system is up-to-date", but no further info on the version number.

I just received the update, and I'm not in the early access group for OTAs. I've lagged far behind on these in the past, so I'm a little surprised to see that it was initiated and completed so quickly. Maybe Ford has improved the process? ?
