Ok, I’m probably about to become a PiTA here, so feel free to tell me to go away:
Is there any way for you to determine your window size, then choose the appropriate nomenclature/iconography? For example, if someone has a very small window, just use the plug icon. If they have a large window, use the text string?
absolutely... That's exactly what I'm planning to do.
It's going to take me a day to 2. The next couple of days will be busy :)
Plus the new matrix movie comes out tomorrow...

As I mentioned before the ford API only returns integers and no decimals :(
You mean for the 12V as it shows decimals on tire pressures. Wonder if 11.6V would round up or down? Is 12.7V 13V or 12V? Would be much more useful with another significant digit. Good work ?.

@tonesto7, it's four days 'til Christmas, keep YOUR priorities in order. I am looking forward to using your widget when my Mach-E shows up. And I'm sure everyone appreciates all your efforts to make it the best widget ever.

I'm looking for a few of you to test this out, please!
Ford Widget Tool Installer (tonesto7.github.io)

So the premise here is that I can't directly update a running script I need another script.
So I created the FordWidgetTool (It's based on scriptdudes installer).
You will go to the website which will hold your hand through installing the installer for the widget tool.
Once the tool is installed it automatically runs and it either installs the Fordpass Widget or updates the existing code.
It will walk you through the steps of installing a helper script that installs and updates the main widget script.
Once this tool is installed that's it, just tap it anytime I announce an upgrade and it just downloads it.
The only time I may require you to reinstall the tool is if there is a required update for the tool's new features. Either way, you will never have to copy and paste-like you did before.

I even recorded a couple of videos of the install process and set up for new users.
Works nicely for me - updated to 1.3.3.

Thank you for this brilliant widget!

Lol... I am only feeling pressure from myself to finish the remaining items. I hate having unfinished work out there.

This is great!
Any way to make the image larger?
Even when I select large, it’s hard to read the information.
Also not seeing what it says after Charger T…
I’m plugged in to 220

Also bottom left saying information is 6 hours old.
Is that accurate?

Thanks for doing this.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I’m glad to hear you have your priorities straight ? I have to sheepishly admit I haven’t seen the new Spider-Man movie yet ?
Seriously, the pace at which you’ve been enhancing this app is incredible! Thanks so much!

Making better use of the larger and smaller widgets will take me some more time.
I need to figure out how to best utilize the spaces. I think for the large widget I will just increase the scale of some of the elements like image and text.
I would like to add more details for EV users.

This will be a slow process for me to roll out.
I'm constantly thinking of new ways to lay out all of the widgets better.

The time stamp on the bottom is no longer when the widget was updated but when the vehicle last updated the data on the server. The widget updates quite often so it would never be more than 10 minutes out of date. Now the status matches what's in the FordPass app (at least it does for more of us)

Thanks tonesto7.

Tried it out this morning. Worked great!
Everything seems faster in the widget than on the FordPass app.

I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you have a great day with family and friends.

I will be releasing some updates tomorrow that clean up the layout and make the elements line up better (icons and text are now center aligned), remove labels on items with icons for the small widgets, and
I've rewritten the widget tool. It now manages the creation and updating of multiple instances of the widget (no more editing the SCRIPT_ID tag).
This will require you to update the widget tool (basically you need to use the installer and it will overwrite the old tool with the new one)

I just need to update the docs and videos tomorrow before I can release :)

  • Fixed local vehicle data file to support multiple instances.

  • Reworked the small widget to not show text on labels with icons.

  • Added a nicely formatted breakdown of the OTA data about the raw data.
FordWidgetTool (v1.1.0)
  • Supports updating multiple instances and managing the SCRIPT_ID value.
  • It's now used to create and remove additional instances of the script.
  • It can now remove and clean up all widget instances and their data.
Please note that you will need to run the installer again to update the widget tool.
Once the widget tool is updated it will popup a menu offering to update your existing widgets.

Our new Remote Vehicle Setup lets you use FordPass™ or the owner’s site to set up profile preferences, including all your radio presets. It’s all stored in the cloud and sent to your Mustang Mach-E through the SYNC® 4A system. Navigation automatically makes helpful destination suggestions (but you can turn that off if you like), plus new cloud connectivity combines conversational voice command recognition with internet-based search, so you get the latest info with almost every request. Apple CarPlay® compatibility displays on-screen turn-by-turn navigation in your instrument cluster. Finally, the user-profile icons on your SiriusXM® with 360L radio will be a bit bigger, and there were a couple of bug fixes. Whew. Ongoing updates like these help ensure that you’re always driving the best possible version of your Mustang Mach-E. Keep in mind that update availability varies by model.
