Isn’t that better? You pay what the price is, not the price + whatever dealer profit you’ve negotiated over the course of 2-8 hours of fighting. I, like most people would enjoy not going through that process ever again. To each their own i guess.

Ok to each their own. I just see pros and cons to both side and with the current environment there's a lot more support for the elimination of dealers.

I just updated my Ford tracker and my car was delivered the 23rd. (GT) My dealership was closed the 24th, 25th and the 26th. No email from Ford letting me know it was delivered, no payment option email and still nothing from Ford about the recall. I am going to drive by tomorrow to see if I can see it, I know they will be closed but its worth a try. I am still kicking around the idea that with the recall and BBB I am going to reorder a premium. I keeps us under the 60k and at least I will get it in the same calendar year as it was made.

Mine is not listed on the dealership site. But this will be the third time I have drove by to "check". Yes it is sad that we have to stalk our own cars But maybe if Ford was a bit better at communication we would not have to resort to such methods! I have a feeling, because my dealership has been closed that mine still might be on a truck. Hopefully sitting on the lot. We shall see tomorrow.

FYI - I just DM’d @Ford on Twitter, asking how they are going to make this right for all 1,600 of us stop-sale folks. And am about to start tweeting at every exec I can find. I spent an hour on the phone with various customer service people and they knew nothing about this issue.

10/11 Builder ganger here, also in recall hell. Car has been still sitting at rail yard 28 miles from my dealer on ‘quality hold’ since 11/28. The hold was applied while it was still on board the rail car on 11/8, one week after arriving in KC. MY ETA is now 1/3-/9, but I’m not gullible enough to believe that’s even a remote possibility. Add me to the legion of the livid.

Another update on the Union Pacific railcar to Benicia, California Bay Area. The railcar status has progressed over the last three days.... from delivered to industry, positioned to unload and yesterday evening it was listed as EMPTY. So the MMEs from KC are on the ground.
I will see if mine goes to the dealer soon and is part of the recall...built 11-17.

Just rememeber, the Tesla model allows them to change pricing on a whim as well as two price increases for the same car this year. There is no good model as we always lose haha

Agreed. But it’s transparent and non negotiable. Perhaps that’s why Carmax is packed every time I am there?

Here’s the price. Take it or leave it. Luckily for the EV consumer now and in the future you’ll be more inclined to leave it if there’s a better product or a better value as competition grows.

Well this is interesting.

Got the email from Ford last night saying complete your purchase.
Text this morning from Dealer saying when you want to come in. I asked about the Seat Belt and they said that my car was not affected by it. If it was they would take care of it at the depot and not have it delivered to the dealership. In fact, they do have other clients who's cars are affected and they're being held at the depot.

I scheduled pickup for Sunday, and I'll see if this plays out.

Picked up today 12/26.
Spoke to him about the seatbelt and he did say some cars are getting fixed at the depot (In my case Mira Loma) while others are still waiting for fixes/parts.

He has 5 other cars waiting for the fix and all those of "hot-tagged" whenever they're fixed to get trucked over.

And yeah the 7 day period for pickup is real. My sales guy kept getting calls and questions on when my car would be picked up because it was on the lot 12/21PM and I didn't get it till today.

Update for those updates you facing the stop sale recall: I just got a call from my dealer reporting that Ford has scrubbed its recall list and determined that my MME is not subject to the recall after all and ready for purchase / delivery this week. I had also checked my VIN on the “Etis” site, with no campaigns reported. But I was psyched to get word from the dealer, and hope that many of you will be learning the same!

Update for those updates you facing the stop sale recall: I just got a call from my dealer reporting that Ford has scrubbed its recall list and determined that my MME is not subject to the recall after all and ready for purchase / delivery this week. I had also checked my VIN on the “Etis” site, with no campaigns reported. But I was psyched to get word from the dealer, and hope that many of you will be learning the same!

Can't believe it... and sorry for those of you stuck in the latest recall, but my dealer called and despite telling me last week my car was in the seatbelt recall, the guy who placed my order checked the VIN again and again and it's not on the list! I can pick up the car tomorrow morning! He was cool enough to send a picture. Again, sorry for those who are stuck with delays... I was in the same boat an hour ago - super surprised and did not expect to get it before the new year.
