When I ordered, there was a $0 difference. How can they add this just weeks before delivery? That I believe is how they list ADM online.
There's a whole thread about that. Do you have the original price printed out? Can you prove that? Is it a MY21? Did you leave a deposit? When I ordered, there was a $0 difference. How can they add this just weeks before delivery?
I have the original price (even before the $1,000 increase) written in a docusign that the dealer sent me. It is a MY22 and I did leave a $500 deposit. Shouldn't this be honored? There's a whole thread about that. Do you have the original price printed out? Can you prove that? Is it a MY21? Did you leave a deposit?
Yes and if you have that I wouldn't worry until the day you get the car. My assumption would be that in person they will honor it, especially if it's a MY22 and you have something in docusign. You could always call the Sales Manager tomorrow, but in your case I wouldn't overreact if you have all of that documentation. We've seen where people have had ADM listed but the dealer removed it at sale.I have the original price (even before the $1,000 increase) written in a docusign that the dealer sent me. Makes sense, thank you so much. Was just quite a shock to see this increase out of nowhereYes and if you have that I wouldn't worry until the day you get the car. I think the people who are going to have an uphill battle are those who ordered a MY21 and got rolled into a MY22.
Are either of these dealers Perry Ford in National City? My MME Select is ordered through them, and my price has increased $1K since my 10/1 order date.I have 2 orders placed for CR1 with 2 different dealers:
Order 1: ordered 10/6, production scheduled 1/31, no X-plan but dealer confirmed no ADM
Order 2: ordered 11/8, no production date, dealer accepts ADM
I emailed both dealers yesterday with a screenshot of the original price to confirm with them that I’m “locked in”.
Dealer 2 said “whatever Ford’s MSRP is when the car is build will be their selling price”. Still shows original price online for order 2.
Dealer 1 just said “the car will be sold at MSRP.” ? Just logged in and noticed the $2k increase for order 1.
Getting these responses from multiple dealers leads me to believe that they will not be honoring the original price. Neither dealer gave the option for signing a purchase agreement prior to delivery either so, I guess I’m just screwed…
If you placed a deposit down for an order on an MME and at the time of said purchase, it was stated that the car would be delivered 6 months later (deep into 2022), Ford would be legally bound to sell that specific order (whether it was a model '21 or'22) for the agreed upon price. As for everyone else my guess would be that you don't have much of a leg to stand on from a legal perspective. The reason is because you placed an order for a MY21 at that pricing and if the MY21 is no longer being made then the contract would be invalidated.
They keep the order in the system and honestly they don't care if you pick up the car or not. It's kinda, take it or leave it at that point. They can't make what they don't have anymore and there's nothing that guarantees you a different model than what's on paper.
Yeah, that was a weird decision. Why only raise the price $500 when announcing the 2022 only to raise it more shortly after? They should have just gone with the full price increase for the 2022 right out of the gate and given a credit equal to the difference to any 2021 orders that had to be converted. What is interesting to me is Ford announced the 2022 pricing and allowed people to place orders at that price (and converted 2021 to 22s at that price, albeit with the $750 credit).
