I ordered my Mach-E GT Perf Edition on 5-11-2021. Still waiting. Apparently it arrived in Kansas on 1-10-2022, but it appears that no one knows anything since then...

Not to change subjects, but I understand that batteries drain in the cold. I'm just wondering how charged these things are at the rail yards. It makes me wonder if it's just sitting in some yard and can't start....
I received mine on 1/21, it left Mexico 12/21, so 1 month in transit. The car was at 100% when I took delivery, probably the only time it will ever be charged to 100%, but I was able to view the charge logs and that initial charge at the dealer was 55%, indicating it arrived with 45% charge. I have heard they leave the factory with 50% charge, it had 5.6 miles on it, which seems legit for how it made it from factory to dealer.

In regards to the subject of the thread, I heard yesterday and texted my salesman, who confirmed they were informed by Ford Corporate 2/1 that the last day for MY22 orders is 2/11. Not a conspiracy, not false news, they are reacting to the negative comments and doing what they can to correct the issue. I was also told that Premium orders far exceed their initial estimates and that those configurations are hardest hit by part shortages, so you will wait the longest. Supply shortages are not expected to be back to pre 2020 levels until mid 2023. So glad after 8 months I finally have my car, best of luck to everyone waiting, they are amazing!

I got my car Wednesday built 12/23 arrived 2/3 with 100 miles of charge. So they give it a pretty good charge at the factory.

I ordered my Mach E a few weeks ago which was accepted by my dealer. But a few day's before when I was talking to them about possibly placing an order vs finding one on the lot somewhere they said "If you plan on ordering you should do it sooner than later." It kind of got my attention because why would they say that? They didn't seem pushy at all to purchase from them and it was more of a "get it while you can" vibe. Could they have known something a few weeks ago? Maybe not but it is weird what they said and now Ford is possibly halting orders on most EV's. First the Lightning, then Maverick, and maybe Mach E?
They want you to order because it’s a “real” order. They don’t care if you take it either because they’ll sell it in 3 sec or ADM. My dealer straight up told me if you don’t take it it’s no problem I’ll sell it in 3 sec. and it’s the only GT they’ll have so far

It’s probably all speculation, but maybe they are trying to keep from having to convert a bunch of 22s to 23s like they did with this year. I’ve seen a bunch of people already in production getting delivery dates pushed back for months due to chip holds and it will probably keep up all year too. If they are close to what they think they can produce for MY22 why keep accepting orders? It makes sense to me rumor or not.

Putting fleet orders on hold doesn’t surprise me at all. Ford took over 90,000 orders last month which they are saying is up by over 71,000 from Jan 21. That’s just nuts! I have no inside knowledge, but I think this chip issue is going to get worse before it gets better. I hope I’m wrong though.

That seems late, considering that new vehicles typically come out several months prior to the year and need production and shipping time...

Historically, with this chip shortage and delays with all manufacturers, new current year cars have been coming out so late.
