If 2.4.2 starts rolling out again reasonably soon, I think you’re going to find a lot more than a token 1 “I live near 1 American Rd in Dearborn “ job 1 cars with BlueCruise.

Exactly. Updates yes. I’ve gotten some of the BC lead-in OTAs. BC itself? Nope, not for me. That’ll be “interesting” to see how that portion is handled.

Message on center screen, day of completion of updates - "Dear Bill, As you can see we've completed updating your Mach-E with all 477 updates required for BlueCruise handsfree driving. Simply follow these 19 steps to activate it."

Day 3 - "Dear Bill, We've noticed that you haven't yet activated BlueCruise. Remember, just follow these 19 steps to activate it."

There are a lot of module programming differences between Job 1 and Job 2 cars. That takes time (apparently). BlueCruise software has probably been changed a bit as well.

Despite owning an early Job 1 car, I don’t have a horse in this race. I’ll not be getting BC as there’s literally no way to use it here and it’s physically impossible to drive but somewhere I could use it. I neglected to purchase the crush proof cabin and 8000 ft tall snorkel.

As far as frunk or BC, or any other function, it looks to me like the modules are the same in a 21 job1 and a 21 job2... the difference is the SW. That SW has been around since before July 7th. I really can't understand why we should give Ford a pass on this rollout because it's "hard"... more like botched.

BTW that snorkel would be AWESOME!

And yet, part of me hopes Ford is accelerating this update to the folks in the "it's coming very soon!" category in spite of the doom and gloom "OMG, LOL" naysayers. ?
