I've seen this a handful of times where the driver apparently confused EVSE sign for a handicapped spot. Last week though I saw a Tesla park at an EVSE spot, but not plug in.
There is a Tesla that regularly parks in the EV spot without charging in our crowded office parking lot. I frequently need the charges for my SE MME. Wondering if I should say something if I see him/her. Many other Teslas in the same lot not parked in the EV spots. Just this same Model Y almost every day.

I would leave a polite note on the windshield, or talk to them if you see them in person. They will either not park there or continue to do so and just plug in.

Hmm....don't all drivers in New England treat each other like that? :)

Honestly, the reaction to our Mach E has been almost entirely positive.
That's what I'm hoping, and curious about. Teslas are easy to target, no matter (or perhaps because of) how ubiquitous they are. Hopefully as EVs in general become more common people (and by "people" I mean angry jackasses who think it's fun) won't even notice or differentiate. Heck, one day in the not too distant future people driving ICE cars will be looked down on and harassed, though ever so quietly.

Thread is regarding ICE rage against the Mach-E. Multiple people keep posting about vehicles icing chargers, which has nothing to do with Mach-Es...

I think Teslas have more of an air of stuffiness about them. It's like combining a BMW ("I make more money than you") and a Prius ("I'm morally superior to you") in one vehicle.

Totally an element of that, for sure.

Not totally unrelated, especially once EA and other non-Tesla chargers are in more prominent and visible spots, like Tesla chargers. Will a redneck in a giant lifted coal rolling diesel block a charging station that has a couple of Fords parked at it? I think probably not.

Talk to the property manager, see if they can’t change the signage to “EV Charging Only”. And then they can choose to enforce that or not.

I think a person of limited intelligence, such as you described, isn't doing a brand survey...

We arrived at a charger in Huber Heights, Ohio last week to find a piece of crap Chevy pickup parked nicely in one of the EA charging spots. Not to get closer, because it wasn't, but simply to be an ahole. The spots were all empty when we arrived. He came out with his girlfriend, smiling and laughing as he looked at his rusty pickup parked there.

Do you really see vehicles parking in the driving lane, blocking vehicles that are parked in spots charging? Call the cops, they're blocking traffic.

In most cases, the charging spots are leased by the charging company, and the property owner has nothing to do with it.

Signage in a private lot, or on private roads, usually cannot be enforced by any authorities, except the property owner if they post signs that they'll tow violators.

I disagree - I'd say brand is the only thing they're reacting to. Lizard brain style.

So if they drive by chargers, and they are all filled with GM pickups or Rivian pickups, they'll say "nah, not going to block them in?".

I believe that they're too stupid. Think of the guy that parked in the space, occupying one of 6 parking spaces. What did that accomplish? He's not bright enough to understand that.

Ford Mustang Mach-E ICE-rage in the MME? Carlin stupid peopl
