The exact arrival date is really nice to know because 1) if it arrives before 12/31, it means an extra $1500 tax credit in Colorado, and 2) I can then plan for selling my current car.

I also think I have 2 orders in. One is my original Premium order, but I also think/hope I have a First Edition order. As recommended by the Mach Drop person and my dealer, I did not cancel the Premium order. If I knew the difference in delivery dates, that might also be a factor in my decision -- especially if the First Edition gets bumped to next year anyway.

I know there are hiccups that can occur like manufacturing issues or a COVID-19 shutdown, but I'd still like to plan.

Give me that big, fat, expensive burrito with lots of hot salsa.
"Big, Fast Expensive Burrito" was the name I danced under in college. I danced to salsa music exclusively.

Not "Magic Mike"?
Already taken. Performers are like actors - there's a whole registered name guild thing. It's all very complicated.

I am thinking about going from the AWS SR Prem -> AWS LR Prem with the price change so I can stay under the 55k Tax rebate in NJ but the dealer is rolling delivery and other fees into the MSRP. Is this normal practice? Anway they charge me that seperately? the MSRP on the site for what I want is just under 55k.

Just had a horrible thought: I have a Select with tech package on order and want to change to Route 1. Does my dealer have to cancel the original order or can he just change the part number? I reserved November 23rd and don't want to go all the way to the back of the line
I didn't have to the dealer updated my order over the phone, and a notification of my updated order came a minute later, was surprisingly easy.

I don't know for sure, but I don't see how any dealer can change the official MSRP of a vehicle. They can charge more, and add on other fees, etc, but that shouldn't actually change the vehicle MSRP.

If the NJ law is pegged to the manufacturer's MSRP, I assume that's set in stone and the dealer can't change it, regardless of what your dealer is actually charging you for the vehicle.

Kind of what I thought - the Mach E seems weird because of the "Tesla Like" Pricing. I did come across this in the fine print of the rebate which I think clears it up (hopefully).

The MSRP cap of $55,000 refers to the final MSRP of the vehicle, which is set by the manufacturer, and is intended to encompass the value of the vehicle itself, in full. The manufacturer’s MSRP typically includes the costs associated with the trim level of the vehicle with all color options, wheel upgrades, drive train or battery upgrades, and other packages, such as entertainment system upgrades. Costs not generally included in the MSRP are: destination or delivery charges, sales and use taxes, additional maintenance or repair packages purchased from the dealership or showroom, documentation fees, registration fees, or add-ons which relate to the maintenance or operation of the vehicle, such as electric vehicle charging packages, floor mats, first aid kits, cargo nets, etc
