Be careful what you wish for! According to Consumer Reports testing, the Jaguar I-Pace is not only more expensive but rated far below the MME. Tesla Model Y rating thrown in for comparison.

Screen Shot 2022-04-08 at 10.48.27 AM.png
And try to find an I-Pace for under 100K! my local dealer is sitting on four of them without stickers on the windows and a small note that says you need to speak with a salesman. I spent close to an hour talking with a salesman in a $500 suit only to eventually find out "that i am not Jaguar material" and the price is locked at $115K.
Now this is in Delaware, I can only imagine what the markup would be in LA or NYC

I just called my dealer in San Jose, CA area, and they said they will "honor the MSRP price on the window sticker when it's delivered". I questioned that in the order confirmation sheet they printed out stated the order price, and they said "at the bottom, it said This is not an invoice, and they can't loose money by selling the car at that price if MSRP goes up". I ordered at that dealer back in 01/22 for a premium AWD SR.
After 3 months and waiting for nothing (still in order confirmed stage), I will have to move on. Consider the price was $51,140 ($53,140 (including options and destination fee) - $2,000 regional discount) - $7,500 federal - $750 CA state rebate, it's a great deal and our family has been a ford loyal customer with one 2015 fusion (recently sold to make place) and one 2016 escape (probably will be gone soon). With the anticipated price increase until it would be delivered 6 months later, it's not attracting any more regarding time and price.

Glad that I also ordered an MY22 LR back in Nov. 2021 ($5,000 increase since then) and Tesla honored the original price even after I made a change on the interior color 1 week ago. Shouldn't have bought ford stocks either, what a mistake. Technology-wise, they are way behind Tesla. Price-wise, they are not attractive anymore even with the federal rebate. They gonna lose a lot of potential customers to Tesla and other new EVs.

Read through the price protection thread and show them how price protection works. Don’t take no for an answer

I have to say, I am so HAPPY I don't have to deal with all these issues that I reading alot of you are. I received my Cali rt1 Msy 21st 2021, no issues with my dealer and received my 5k ftom NJ and 7.5k from the fed.
I love my car,but hearing about the delays, price increases and just the unknowns you all ate going through, well I am not sure I would put up with it. Saying that, the Mach E is worth it once you get it. Good luck to all if you

I bit of advice, screen shot everything that shows the lower price if you don’t have a physical signed purchase agreement. That’s what my dealer said got me the price protection. They didn’t show the lower priced numbers on my order in their system. Everything changed and the only evidence of a lower price were my screen shots.

I’m starting to think it’s maybe not even malicious on their end. Mine basically said the same. They’re digging a lot deeper with their rep, but maybe they truly don’t have anything readily available that is the original price?

Thanks for reminding. Read that before posting, correct me if I am wrong, it seems that you have to actually put the order in, instead of just making a "reservation order" through the $500, which in my case that most likely won't fall in PP. I am waiting for another confirmation from my sales Rep. I will keep my mind open for now before my other EV order is ready for delivery, however, most likely I will have to move on given such a tedious process.

I went to Capitol Ford and they told me the same thing. They will sell the Mach-E at the MSRP price on the window sticker, even though the order paperwork I got showed a lower price.

haha, same dealer. I didn't point them out because not sure it's a dealer decision or Ford screwed dealers and us together. OP also said it will affect "order built after 04/13", and ours are just "reservation", not the actual order in this case I guess.

So my dealer sent a follow-up email accepting it after the reservation. Sounds a whole lot like a true order at least from their email. I’d say it’s a real order if my dealer didn’t misspeak.

“I wanted to let you know your Mach E order has been accepted. I will let you know when the Mach E is scheduled to build.”

So this is order paperwork the dealership gave me when I made my order. Showed this to them and they still wouldn’t honor the pricing.

Disgraceful. And all the people right here on this forum saying there's nothing to worry about.

Maybe someone can tweet Jim Farley or Mike Levine and get an official response.

Both Mike and Jim can no longer be contacted through twitter. The only recourse is to tag them on twitter but thats just about useless. I have been trying for the past two weeks and onlu @Ford gives a response!

This is no different than ADM. They get the difference back from ford. Show them the ford memo stating price protection.
