But doesn't regular use of DCFC has an impact on the battery degrading faster?

Those aren't 150's though. Looks like they're only 50 and 62.

I may be wrong, but I think his point was about the cars. Meaning, most of the cars charging at CCS stations now are things like Bolts and Leafs and Teslas via CHAdeMO cable, which only charge in the 50-70 kW range anyway. Thus they don't notice much difference on a 150 kW charger vs a 62.

But the MME charges at 150 (peak), so stopping at a 62 kW charger is much slower than normal.

What, did Mr. Belligerent forget his own ruling:

The Forum has been a more pleasant place since I hit the ignore button on him but I think I can guess what he said here.

Just made some more VW suggestions. Here's hoping they go ahead and add at least one... somewhere.

Well... they sent it off to their real estate team for what it's worth.

I replied to that Twitter feed to suggest Kingman AZ again. They replied pretty quickly and said they passed on the info.

Not sure I'd ever use it myself (we might somewhere down the road if a Denver-Vegas road trip forces us down to the longer south route because of bad weather). But it's just such a glaring hole that common sense suggests should make it a higher priority.

Your degradation is in line with Kyle's from OutofSpec motoring. He recently posted a video going over his last year's 58,000 miles....roughly 8% degradation. Worth a watch.

From his figures....understanding he drives hard....looks like it is on the track often....spends a lot of time above the speed limit on the highway...only 2.8 miles per kWh over the entire year...roughly 360 watt hours per mile. With his mix of supercharging [using 28 cents per kw] and home charging [using 14 cents per kw charged here in Md for general residential rate] he consumed ~$4,700 in fuel.

Interesting that an ICE vehicle using $4,700 in fuel [@ $2.75 gallon] over 58,600 miles would have averaged 34 miles per gallon. 31 mpg at $2.50.
