Unfortunately, the car wasn't sold to you from the factory. It was sold to the dealership. You then purchased it from the dealer, who can set the price at whatever they want (to an extent). Unless the window sticker on the car says that it should have a hands free tailgate then they didn't sell you something that you don't have. You purchased the car as per the built specs, not per the ordered specs (if it was even included then). You could have refused the purchase, but you didn't.
It was removed because it randomly opened. Lots of posts here about this issue.
I don’t think this was it, there are lots of Fords with this feature, it’s been around for a while, not a new tech, they have not pulled it from all their vehicles if they gave up and were pulling the plug.
If this is a guess, please state it as such. This is how rumors start.
Mine works great for opening. But for closing I only have 1/3 chance getting it work.
I don't know, maybe they think the tailgate thing can be fixed with an OTA update or something. Yes mine also had issues closing too. Kinda seems like they shipped it with overly sensitive motion sensor or whatever it is and then did an OTA that turned it down way to much. My hands aren't that preoccupied that I need it. Autopark too was fairly useless by the time it got around to actually parking I could've parked in the same spot like 3 times. But hey I'm not paying for gas, that's way more important to me.
So it's a known fact that this is the reason it was removed for 2022? Please site the source of this fact.
