Anyone know (maybe from previous experience with the seat belt or glass recalls) how long it takes the Ford.com or NHTSA sites to get the VIN list? I'd like to know if I'm on the list, but I don't really want to spam ford chat either.
I dunno I got 2 letters from Ford but lookup by Vin says nope. Vin is on the letter. The mach when asked if they have any recalls says no. Seatbelt recall or no? ;)

I was unable to take my car from the dealership. It is a stop sale recall.
At least the priority goes high due to no sales happening .

Im hoping my 5/25 squeezed out with the new part. Might explain the week delay in build.
Very likely what happened. Would be wise to delay production to avoid sending out vehicles to have the battery dropped at the dealership.

If I typed my VIN into the Ford Recalls page and it says no recalls am I safe? Or could it be under the recall/stop sale order but not be showing up yet? I can't load the tracker to check for some reason, but if I remember correctly my build began 5/23, I got the email saying it was finished being built on 5/25.

I would be deeply distressed if I was unable to pick up my car when it's delivered in a few weeks, as I am currently borrowing a car from family lol.

My understanding is that database is behind any announcements.

Would think if a part was included it would have stated a part in the notice vs being so ambiguous.

Except it's not. A quarter is 13 weeks. The third quarter will begin on the first day of the 27th week of the year. Which is not July 1st.
You're joking, right?

For those of you not happy with this, this could be the reason for that 5 second limit on your GT's. If they fix it, the limiter might get taken off. Think about it that way.
@OutofSpecKyle has documented that pretty much every MME will momentarily go into limp mode when pushed hard. His background conversations seemed to indicate there’s some sort of current limiter that gatekeeps the power and dials things back as necessary. It’s quite possible that the contactors have been the weak point all along.

I'm pretty sure according to the bulletin some if not all affected VINs will need a replacement part. MY guess is only GTs will actually need a replacement part but who knows it is way too early to know. They may put it in all extended range...or all vehicles in general.
Will cars that have been repaired already for this failure need to go back in again? As I understand it, this repair requires the pack to be dropped and the part swapped out. That’s a serious undertaking and can’t be done in just a couple of hours.

This is going to cost Ford so much money and dealers are gonna be loving the warranty chargebacks.

Unless they got the new part. I've only seen one repair order with the new part. And yes the pack has to be dropped.

I hope this is the case. 5/16 build date but my MME didn't go into production until 5/24

Companies have the option of 13 week or 3 month quarters. Ford uses 3 calendar month quarters.
Jowly welcome to the Forum, almost one month with us! Ford went back to reporting sales monthly under current CEO Farley. Production and delivery results are updated monthly.
