I have a bit of sad news, Sally was rear-ended on Saturday ? It was low speed and thankfully, it appears to be cosmetic with some good scratches and one diver from a front license plate. Sally is drivable and in good spirits, even thought her butt hurts a bit?

Hi gang,
You probably may have seen the news of the pending recall for the “Stop Safely Now” issue that people have reported.

https://www.macheforum.com/safety-r...voltage-battery-main-contactors-may-overheat/

It seems as though every vehicle *may* be affected but in particular AWD models.

You can run your VIN here to see if it pops up for your car:
https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do

This may explain why the 5/23 builds got halted. My original order 10/1 for a premium AWD went into production 5/26 and then abruptly halted, with no further updates since 5/27 when modules populated.

Anyway, I wouldn’t be too concerned right now, and hopefully the fix will happen soon enough.

Hope you get her patched up quickly, and I’m glad everyone’s okay!
This must be SO frustrating for you.

Interesting. Mine was affected, as far as I could tell.

With the recall, it’s looking like I’m going to win this one by a wide margin ?

The added delay is a bummer. But at least you'll already have the fix and avoid the recall most or all of us have coming!

I inputted my VIN and this pops up:

" Outstanding Field Service Actions

22S41 - MAIN HV CONTACTOR WELDING
We will check for outstanding service actions on your selected vehicle, using your detected country, if this is incorrect you may not see the right information.
We have detected that you are in the: United States
If this information is incorrect, click here to change your country. "

I was automatically scheduled for "servicing" a week ago from my Dealer. I assumed at the time that it was just automatic servicing they schedule with the purchase of new vechiales, but now I am wondering if they knew something.

The best I can tell, it still has an estimated delivery date of 6/13… I checked the VIN on the ETIS link above, and it does appear to be affected.

Their vehicle has already shipped, its on its way to their dealer. @Shenred won't be able to purchase the vehicle (if I am reading things correctly on the main "everyone goes crazy over the recall" page) when it gets to the dealer until the car is fixed.

Edit: News is rolling out that it appears that it will be a software update: Ford recalls nearly 49,000 Mustang Mach-Es over battery safety issues - The Verge.

Apparently, there is no "stop sale" order, maybe just a stop delivery order? - Karl Henkel on Twitter: "Let's get some facts straight on the leaker Mustang Mach-E recall: - There is not a "stop sale" - NHTSA will publish documentation on recall shortly - Affected customers will be notified via FordPass app/mail - Fix will be a software update #MustangMachE" / Twitter

Given that this notice is a preliminary "heads-up" of a recall, I don't think any servicing scheduled would be related.

More importantly.... WHAT "Service" would you even require on an EV right now?

Thanks for following up with something besides the panic that has taken over. Hopefully it is just a software update and it's ready to roll out by the time my rail car gets "unlost."

On another note, I am thinking about asking my dealer about their '23 waitlist for when orders reopen, just in case...
